Mr X Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 How do they keep him? Scored two terrific goals today & looks likely to score whenever he's in possession, unfortunately leagues ahead of mane at the moment
Batman Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 just say no. will they keep him this summer. ??
supersonic Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 you mean kept hold of him for a season and a half? Not that long.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 Because they play higher wages than us & also he's been hit and miss the last couple of seasons. He's also had a spell at a big club unlike the players we didn't keep, that must maker a difference in mind set .
Shance Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 Because they paid over 30 million for him. That's why.

Shance Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 Has anyone bid for him? No and they probably won't as Everton paid so much for him in the first place.

I doubt he'll want to go anywhere in this league where he'll be second choice.
Saint_clark Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 Combination of all of the above...he hasn't actually been there long, they paid huge money for him and he has already experienced how difficult it can be at a big club so is happy being the main man at a slightly lower level. austsaint Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 The other question about Lukaku is, what was the "special one" thinking in letting him slip away from Chelsea.
S-Clarke Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 The other question about Lukaku is, what was the "special one" thinking in letting him slip away from Chelsea. And De Bruyne...and Betrand......he's dropped a couple of clangers there, it has to be said.
Shance Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 The other question about Lukaku is, what was the "special one" thinking in letting him slip away from Chelsea. Chelsea NEVER blood their own youth players. Their record with youth in the first XI is shocking.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 And De Bruyne...and Betrand......he's dropped a couple of clangers there, it has to be said. Bertrand has to be held up as an example of why youngsters are better off at clubs like ours . Ok, he had a champions league winners medal , but he wasted 3 years of his career . The stupid thing is had he come through our ranks , he'd probarly be at Chelsea or Man c now . These big clubs just don't have a pathway to the first team , money and prestige is the only reason parents push their nippers there . For devolopment come to a club like ours
Matthew Le God Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 [h=2]How have Everton kept hold of Lukaku for so long?[/h]How do they keep him? They signed him for £28m in 2014. They've kept him through the winter 2015, summer 2015 and winter 2016 transfer windows. 3 transfer windows is not a huge amount of time and they are unlikely to sell him unless someone offers them a profit on the £28m they paid. BlakeySFC Posted 12 March, 2016 Share Posted 12 March, 2016 Paid £25m for him, he's probably on a fair wedge of cash, that's probably how.
