JxgrSaint Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Is he really slight or physically weak? Havent seen much of him but must be some reason he isnt being snapped up as has some great numbers stats wise. Isn't the reason that Twente are on the brink of dissolution and then he'd be free?
ADutchSaint Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Isn't the reason that Twente are on the brink of dissolution and then he'd be free? At the moment it probably is, tomorrow the court will give their decision in the case Twente has going against the Dutch FA. Interesting day tomorrow for Twente and Dutch football.

SuperSAINT Posted 10 June, 2016 Posted 10 June, 2016 The Times reportedly has a piece regarding Norwich's transfer situation that apparently states we are winning the race for Redmond. As The Times has a pay-wall up, I've linked to the Stoke Sentinel's mention of it. doddisalegend Posted 10 June, 2016 Posted 10 June, 2016 Probably a rehash but another Redmond link http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/06/10/report-southampton-lead-chase-for-nathan-redmond/

Saint Charlie Posted 10 June, 2016 Author Posted 10 June, 2016 Redmond IMO has JWP syndrome. Obvious ability and excels at Eng U21 level but not always in the Norwich team and is very inconsistent and struggles to influence games enough. Wouldn't be a terrible signing but I'm not convinced by him particularly.
Matthew Le God Posted 10 June, 2016 Posted 10 June, 2016 Probably a rehash but another Redmond link http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/06/10/report-southampton-lead-chase-for-nathan-redmond/ Only "probably"? The article opens with the line... Nathan Redmond has emerged as a top target for Southampton, The Times report.

Wouldn't be a terrible signing but I'm not convinced by him particularly. I wouldn't necessarily disagree with that. Certainly had a good Toulon tournament, so scouts would have flagged him up. 6 goals & 2 assists in the league last season too. We seemed have have been linked with him every year since he's made his break-through at Birmingham. We've been linked with a few right-wingers already: - Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - Pione Sisto - Andros Townsend - Nathan Redmond - Jordon Ibe Hard to say where Redmond ranks amongst that lot.
Baird of the land Posted 10 June, 2016 Posted 10 June, 2016 Definitely feel we need a pacey wide man addition so wouldn't complain at all if it turns out to be Redmond.
SuperSAINT Posted 10 June, 2016 Posted 10 June, 2016 Peter McVitie @PeterMcVitie FC Twente has lost the lawsuit filed against the KNVB - the court has decided the governing body is right to relegate them to second tier. #ZiyechWatch
BARCELONASAINT Posted 11 June, 2016 Posted 11 June, 2016 We need to appoint a manager before we can go signing players......would we really be bidding for players before we even know who the new manager is and if he is remotely interested in said players!!!

Yeah, the manager is only part of the transfer committee
SuperSAINT Posted 11 June, 2016 Posted 11 June, 2016 Interesting Tottenham article comparing Idrissa Gueye / Dier / Wanyama http://tottenhamhotspur.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/gueye-compares-rather-well-to-dier-and.html
ADutchSaint Posted 11 June, 2016 Posted 11 June, 2016 Put 12 million on the table and sign Ziyech! Or wait a week or two and pick him up as a free agent cause Twente is already looking into the possibility of filing for bankruptcy.

Saint IQ Posted 12 June, 2016 Posted 12 June, 2016 19 shouldn't be that expensive and an attacking midfielder with eye for goal, would be a perfect signing! Gonna watch him intently in this second half! Plus the Pols love it in Southampton!

Saint-Armstrong Posted 12 June, 2016 Posted 12 June, 2016 Les Reed currently willing the BBC to stop talking about Kapustka's ability and analysing his performance.
Badger Posted 12 June, 2016 Posted 12 June, 2016 Les Reed currently willing the BBC to stop talking about Kapustka's ability and analysing his performance. Should know by now that any deals should be completed ahead of a tournament if we do harbour any real interest in the player.
jamesfp1 Posted 12 June, 2016 Posted 12 June, 2016 Yeah the BBC have put and end to this one alright!
Jai27 Posted 13 June, 2016 Posted 13 June, 2016 He looked exactly like the type of player we need to get in really. Quick, skillful on the ball, always seemed to be in space, and clearly has an eye for goal. Only downside is that he's not much of a physical presence, but he is only 19. If we do sign him then lets hope he does a Mane and not a Juanmi.
Saint Charlie Posted 13 June, 2016 Author Posted 13 June, 2016 Depending how far along a deal is it must be a right pain when a target gets hyped at a tournament.
Ultimatt Posted 13 June, 2016 Posted 13 June, 2016 He looked impressive. I couldn't imagine him costing more than £5m unless he has a breakout euros which is super-low risk given his age. He wouldn't even need to change his shirt.
Pilchards Posted 13 June, 2016 Posted 13 June, 2016 He wouldn't even need to change his shirt. I bet he will smell of BO.
Pancake Posted 13 June, 2016 Posted 13 June, 2016 so a hint of Intimately Beckham then. Ha ha [emoji23]
stpedro Posted 13 June, 2016 Posted 13 June, 2016 What are people's views on Sweden's Lindelof? Looks decent to me, has done well in Portugal for Benfica.
Bewildered Posted 13 June, 2016 Posted 13 June, 2016 (edited) James Nursey @JamesNursey 5m5 minutes ago Hearing Southampton trying to beat Stoke to #NCFC's Nathan Redmond by offering £11million Redmond. 11m. A lot of money for a player who has coasted on looking like he might come good for the last 3 seasons and only 1 more year on his contract. Saints offer £11m for Redmond Southampton are offering a staggering £11million for Nathan Redmond. Winger Redmond, 22, has just 12 months left on his contract at relegated Norwich. Saints are resigned to losing boss Ronald Koeman to Everton but are still bidding for players. Brummie England U21 starlet Redmond had favoured a switch to Premier League Stoke, who are also very keen on the ace. But Saints have stolen a march with a big money offer for Redmond who is on holiday and the deal is subject to a medical. the text on the mirror transfer update suggests it is a bit further along than the bidding stage. Saint Charlie Posted 13 June, 2016 Author Posted 13 June, 2016 Redmond. 11m. A lot of money for a player who has coasted on looking like he might come good for the last 3 seasons and only 1 more year on his contract. Overpriced for me. Looks good for Eng U21s and average for Norwich. Was left on the bench more them last season at times and they didn't exactly have stacks of options. Demerai Gray at £3m was a better option IMO for that type of player who it would be hard to see starting. Redmond is miles off Mane and also nowhere near Tadic'a ability.

Good prospect when at Brum, but not sure he has fully lived up to that yet. Time on his side, but didn't he struggle to get in the Norwich starting eleven last season?

Maybe the problem is that he is at Norwich, seems to play great for the u21s so maybe £11m is a bargain if he comes good. Sterling went for £50m off the back of a decent season and he is awful
