Anyone use these?

Not a smoker myself but do they work???

I also hear on the news that they could be tax'd to the same level as real ciggys??

Yes they work. I know plenty of people who have kicked cigarettes and now just use a vaporiser.

Mine is one of these

There's loads of shops opening up now selling a whole range of weird and wonderful flavoured liquid and plenty of companies making new mods. I was never a big smoker (around 5 a day, more if I was out drinking) but I'd never go back to it now.

The government should be encouraging smokers to take up vaping because of the obvious health benefits but probably won't because the tobacco companies have a lot of clout behind them and invest a huge amount in lobbying MPs.

I am in the twilight zone.

I use a vape thingy to give up smoking, but I still smoke.

Having said that, vaping is my best chance of giving up. I think may it well be comparable to a methadone/heroin situation.

Vaping should be encouraged IMO. It might be the devil you don't know, but the devil you DO know is a pretty bad assed devil!

That move has nothing to do with health and everything to do with tax, as this extract from the guardian article suggest

"Last December, the commission warned that failure to harmonise excise duties for e-cigarettes could have “significant long term budgetary implications” for countries, leading to national taxes being levied that over time could threaten the internal market."
