We don't seem able or willing to play through them.....just out wide.....

Austin is anonymous...does nothing, rather have Pelle holding it up to bring others into play.

Right. And as soon as a Pelle flick goes astray you'll be demanding he never plays again.

Too loose at the back someone needs to nobble at least one of their forwards.

I had hoped that Long, Austin and Mané up front would cause problems but it's just not happening - every time one of these three gets the ball they are closed down and shut out by at least two players.

Ron needs to get a grip of these players and shake them out of the funk they are in

We've just not been able to compete in midfield. Every time we win the ball back they are all over us in an instant and we can't find a decent forward pass to our strikers who are isolated and feeding off scraps.

Really need to up our game in the second half.

What the hell has happened to Mane? He's a shadow of the player he was in the second half of last season.

Having serious doubts about Koeman considering the players he has at his disposal. Too many poor decisions in terms of tactics and personnel .....

He needs to up his game....

I'm having serious doubts about your ability to troll. You must do better, you're far too obvious I'm afraid.

The player we miss today and could do with is Tadic. Mane's pace isn't going to work as he's clearly off-colour, we need more incision and precision and need to do more to peg Bournemouth back, last time out that's how we beat them. Long and Austin have both been ineffectual, but have had little or no service. Bournemouth have been very good, clearly treating this as a derby and rightly so, Josh King has been excellent as has Matt Ritchie and Charlie Daniels and Max Gradel, Bertrand/Cedric have been pegged back for the most part and Romeu/JWP have struggled to get to grips with the game, Fonte has had a bit of a shocker, Van Dijk has been excellent. As much as Bournemouth dominated they had only two shots on target, but that was as poor as I've seen us. We need to simply play Bournemouth at their game and start being first to the ball and using it more effectivily.

Koeman made a good change by taking off Yoshida who was off the pace, and bringing on Davis, but what we need is Mane to start showing us the player that we all know is there.

This is dreadful. Bournemouth are playing well tbf, but as someone else pointed out we're making it easy for them. Could have been a lot worse than 1-0, need a massive second half. Stringing more than three forward passes together would be a good start. Mané has been shocking, I'd put Tadic on ASAP.

Still think we can win it, but Ron needs to put a rocket up them.

Seriously?

So the previous 6 games where we were 5:1:0 was what? A blip, and he's actually shyt?

We can only improve in the 2nd half. It was obvious that Bournemouth would have that high energy. We need to break it down better in midfield and then move it from there. Letting them boss the midfield. In games like this we need VW and Romeu to be playing.

Well from what I am seeing I don't think we are playing that badly, we had wrong formation in the midfield which has been addressed eary and we lost composure towards the end of the half with our passing, Bournemouth are well up for it as expected and giving everything but really their best chance was from a well taken set piece, a stunning save but unlucky rebound onto their player, they scored by luck of the deflection off the save. I don't think we are out of this by any stretch just need geeing up at halftime and for our forwards to calm down and link up better, we had solid control of the game up to the break against Fonte for the free kick. This is like a cup game as far as fixtures go and closest Bournemouth have to a derby, it will be annoying to not get three points but certainly not doom and gloom its the nature of a fixture like this.

Unfortunately I feared this might happen. We lose a game and all confidence seems to go and we then go on a stuttering run for 6 weeks or so. We are still very fragile mentally and it's something that has needed to be addressed for a while.

:scared:

How do you come to that conclusion, are you a body language expert or an online shrink

Crosses have been our main/only offensive weapon pretty much all season (and the latter half of last season too). We don't have anyone with the skill or composure to run a game through the middle.

It's just awful, it really is. Alright, no Clasie, but what's with all these misplaced passes and losing possession constantly? We could barely get out of our own half. I can take us losing, but a performance like this...

Where is Sadio? Surely the one on the pitch is an imposter.

He's been more involved than Long and Austin to be fair. There's just no delivery for our attacking three - I think Ron has to try Tadic or either Long/Austin or Ward-Prowse.
