Once you get the ball up to Pelle, you have to get people in and around him to win the flicks/knock-on's, run off the ball etc. That's what Mane gave us when he came on. It helps Pelle when he's playing with pace around him, otherwise it is all very static and slow. Was the same with Lambert,if nobody is within 20yds there is only so much he can do with his back to goal and 2cbs on him,this is why Mane is so effective through the middle imo as he stays close enough to Pelle and gets onto those flick on's etc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Secret Site Agent Posted 22 March, 2016 Share Posted 22 March, 2016 When people were questioning why Ronald kept choosing Pelle because he's crap I couldn't help thinking that the reason might have been that in training he was scoring sensational goals for fun and based on this he was picked. Ronald knew he just needs the push and confidence that a goal would give. and it has. Perhaps not as soon as we would all have liked. The same with Mane too.
