Why haven't we sacked Jan Portsmuff yet?

Surely one of the toughest.

maybe

but many teams around us and above us would love the facitilites we have..would love a surman and a lallana to even consider selling let alone in the team...they would love be in any sort of position to sign morgan..would love to have SMS...

it is a tough job...but to say it is the toughest is silly

forest job is harder...their average age is alot lower than us...some of their players were average league 1 players last season...they dont have ANY experience like kelvin, rudi, euell, perry, killer around the squad..YET they still are changing manager instead of accepting the inevitable relegation....

yes, we have it hard but to say it is "the toughest in the entire league, easily" is a stupid and untrue statement...

I'm surprised we haven't sacked him yet, but, I suppose it comes down to not being able to afford to. Or at the very least, not being able to afford bringing in the sort of manager who will make a difference. As Peter Risdale said, if I sack Dave Jones, who am I going to replace him with, with whose available on the current market?

I hate to quote such a guy but he was right then and the same situation with us right now. If we sack this guy who will we get to come in for a small contract. I suppose we just have to wait and see if he can turn it around.

Zzzzzzzzz every time.

Shouldn't a results record make some consideration of the resources available?

Toughest job in the league easily. Crap squad getting worse, constant change with loans, no money to spend, no wages to offer and an obvious relegation fight from the start. Yet poor results surprise you? I don't believe most of you are that stupid.

Utterly ridiculous to make such a damning assessment of Jan when we know nothing about how he'd perform with any resources. Not that you'd know that much any anyone after 6 months. Doesn't help that Lowe picked him, the fans bitterness means even less time for a manager. But I seriously doubt anyone else could do much better with our resources. Look at our club right now, the squad, the finances, we SHOULD be fighting relegation and that's exactly what's happening.

Just so sick of the brainless drivel about management change being the key to all success and no-one ever getting a chance. Seems you have to have won promotion spending nothing and be an instant success just to get given a bit of time. If he'd spent 10m I'd be having a go at him too, but even that would be harsh after 6 months.

Not half as ridiculous as Lowe judging, and getting rid of, NP after a grand total of 13 matches (averaging 1.23 points per match).
