They took the full allocation last year and we didn't get close to selling them all.

this year we have only taken blocks 39 + 40, last year we also had 37 + 38, 38 was full 37 was quite empty (although half of the block was segregation netting).

i've had a look on Stoke's website they are selling block 37 to there own fans but neither team are selling block 38 so there could be scope to get some more tickets.

Also not surprised we're not taking the full allocation or allowing sales on the day like last season, when the 200-odd sales made on the day will have caused endless hassle for the ticket office when the allocation for Europa League matches was announced - not buying in advance, despite having proof of a perfectly valid ticket, was the difference between me getting Arnhem tickets on the first day and not.

It's a joke. Saturday 3pm, easy enough to get to and cheap tickets.

I think you just have to accept that most people aren't interested and get over it.

Aren't interested in what exactly?

clearly a lot of people are "interested" in attending away games, we sold out 2k quickly for Swansea , and took big numbers to WBA where tickets were also reasonably priced.

anyway there is now another 350 ish tickets on sale.

An away trip to Stoke specifically, I would guess. Given the prices, it's probably a ground most people have done before, but it's also one that most people might think "I've done that one, not bothered if I go there again". Everton and Liverpool are in that bracket for me, been a few times to each, never a particularly pleasant experience, even when we've won.

Exactly. An away trip to a place people will have been loads of times isn't going to be any kind of draw for occasional fans.

Of course having to put up with morons who get tanked up and try and tell people how they should support their team is quite the disincentive as well.

I quite enjoy trips to Merseyside for all kinds of reasons, but I can live without them too.

Anyone recommend a good away trip to take my 10 year old to? Took him to Fulham a couple of years ago and we sat in the neutral end. He loved it but bit worried about other grounds.

Why worried? I've been taking my nearly 14yo home and away since he was 6. When he was small he stood on the seat to see and sung his heart out. How he's lofty enough to see over everyone.

WBA is a good & cheap reasonably close one for next season as is Arsenal. Villa is a rip off. Stoke is good value.

Wolves and Millwall are the only places I've ever thought were remotely intimidating, a 10 year old should be fine anywhere though. Even Wolves is only because you come out in an enclosed space next to the away fans.

It's easier with a nipper now as you can choose your seats.

Of the games left , there'll be no issues at any of them . Leicester will be good as it'll be rocking and they're a pretty friendly bunch on the whole .

My 10yo has started coming away more regularly this season. There aren't any grounds I wouldn't take him to and I really can't understand what you could possibly be worried about. Football fans have never routinely picked on little kids and in the current sanitised environment of the Premier League it certainly isn't going to start now.

The worst you'll encounter is a few lairy lads and some bad language but then you get that at every football ground from non league up.

Not worried about their fans; just some of ours! I suppose it's best to chose seats at the front?

We were back row for Chelsea and a few rows away at Norwich and both were fine. Makes no odds as far as I'm concerned.

Each to their own at the end of the day, 'The Cat' and 'View From The Top' clearly have a more relaxed approach to parenting than I do. I've seen some pretty unsavoury things from Saints fans at away games, the 'he's got a Mars bar on his head' incident at MK Dons being a prime example.

He's never quite recovered from that.

Absolutely. In no way can a Mars Bar be classified as "savoury"
