mulletsaint Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Yeah. We have little movement up top centrally again. Long is working the channels wel, but Pelle is so slow and does not work their defenders anywhere near enough Their keeper has barely a save to make as yet He's never the most mobile but I don't think he looks match fit.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 I've seen Pelle ambling about but he has also had some good touches. Started poorly but hasn't been atrocious. I'm all for keeping possession but when we have a chance to push on, it's bloody frustrating when it goes back and back and eventually back to Forster who lumps it forward and we lose it anyway... On here he`s poor before we even ko, but you are right he has not been atrocious
Shance Posted 13 February, 2016 Author Posted 13 February, 2016 I honestly think that Koeman has set us up in the first half to keep a clean sheet and get Swansea running after the ball. So far so good but i'd make two changes within the first 10 minutes of the second half and really push Swansea back.
alpine_saint Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Dont understand our negative line-up today considering our fantastic recent run
Shroppie Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 At the game. Desperately need Tadic or Mane for movement and pace. And Pelle off. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
MOSaint Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Badly lacking going forwards, too direct when the Target man is letting play break down almost every time.
CaymanSaint Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Comfortable but frustrating. At least Pelle has started playing the way he is facing after a few poor flicks which lost possession. As others have said, Davis experiment not working and no creativity in the midfield. Romeu has played well, very unlucky to have been booked.
Leicestersaint Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Pretty poor really. Long should have scored. Pelle spends a lot of time moaning. We should win this but need to buck up.
St Chalet Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Haven't seen much of Targett this half. Personally I'd take off Targett for Cedric and go 4-2-3-1. Give it 15 minutes and then introduce Austin and Tadic / Mane.
SonicBoom Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Seems odd to take a CM'er and play him RWB when you already have a good player who is a RWB anyway. There may well be some clever tactical reason but it's certainly not apparent.
Saint_clark Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Nothing wrong with the formation, just need something more through the middle. Tadic would be perfect for me to actually create a decent chance.
austsaint Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 I m sure Ron plans to go at them 2nd half and make some changes after 55-60 mins to press it home But why wait that long which only increases the chances of a poor Swansea nicking a 1:0.
Saint Charlie Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Romeu will need to be disciplined second half.
washsaint Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 JWP, Romeu, Clasie, Van Dijk have all been good. Rest, not so.....difficult game with very little space and a congested midfield and little creativity. Crying out for Mane up top with Long........the only times we have looked dangerous have been when Long has used his pace. Cedric for Davis and Mane for Pelle at HT would be good.
GarrettIvo Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Romeu will need to be disciplined second half. Has he been a naughty boy?
Chez Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Always a boring game away at Swansea and this is no different. We have just parked the bus with the odd foray forward. Romeu looks like the only midfielder likely to get up and support the two up front. Maybe keep it tight and press second half is the plan. I bloody hope so, as we are not exactly going all out for a win so far. Everyone says you can't question Koemans selections because of the recent form, but he got a lot of decisions wrong when we weren't winning IMO, so why can't you question him now? Mine would be. Why isn't Soares playing? He offers far more in attack down the wing than any of our centre midfielders. Still at 0-0 the game is there for the taking and maybe today will be when Mane finds his form again...
Jonnyboy Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Straight at keeper.. And if that had been Pelle....the forum would have blown up Pelle had a shot straight at the keeper in the first few minutes. There wasnt a meltdown. It's just expected.
eelpie Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Take jwp off and put Mane on. But we're playing for a draw, aren't we?
Jonnyboy Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 But we're playing for a drawer, aren't we? What's in it?
Saint_clark Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Pelle had a shot straight at the keeper in the first few minutes. There wasnt a meltdown. It's just expected. You mean the volley on the edge of the box that was actually down to the keepers right?
doddisalegend Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Thats Shane Long unfortunately. Sell him?

However we have plenty of creative and attacking players on the bench. Hopefully grab another 1-0
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 You mean the volley on the edge of the box that was actually down to the keepers right? That`s the one...
skintsaint Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 But we're playing for a drawer, aren't we? Can't let that one slide...whats the contents?
NewYorkSaint Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 We've looked much the more likely to score. Romeu and Clasie adding a lot of fire. But Swansea are a good team. I'd be happy w 1-1, and predict that as the score, with both sides going for it a bit more in second half. Wd love to see Mane on.

On a good run with a team full of confidence, keep them together...
Saint Benali Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 horrific ball there by jwp, should of done much better.
captainchris Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Come on Koeman get Davis central, Pelle OFF, Mane on or Austin on .... Far too much tinkering Koeman apart from the Pelle mystery selection....
Ohio Saint Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Cork to break our clean sheet record. Isn't that the way it's meant to be?
adrian lord Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Cork to break our clean sheet record. Isn't that the way it's meant to be? Cork to break Targett's nose?
Shance Posted 13 February, 2016 Author Posted 13 February, 2016 How the **** does Cork escape a yellow there??
benjii Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 How the **** can Moss book Romeu for nothing and then not book Ayew or Cork. Useless ****.
adrian lord Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Cork should be sent off - he kicked the guy in the head - how is that not dangerous reckless play? Bruce Lee would be proud.
Jonnyboy Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 You mean the volley on the edge of the box that was actually down to the keepers right? Ok we'll keep Pelle on and sub off Long.
Dark Munster Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 How the **** can Moss book Romeu for nothing and then not book Ayew or Cork. Useless ****. Exactly. The ref is a complete wanker.
Ohio Saint Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Cork to break Targett's nose? Actually, I'd prefer that scenario.....just.
bpsaint Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 The constant inconsistency of referees in this league is a joke.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 (edited) Ok we'll keep Pelle on and sub off Long. NO we will slag off Pelle but not Long Some of Pelle`s work second half is good but ignore that Edited 13 February, 2016 by ALWAYS_SFC
Saint_clark Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 How?????? **** off you fat ***** fonte barely touched him
Crab Lungs Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Exactly. The ref is a complete wanker. He can barely keep up with play... joke.
Jonnyboy Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 NO we will slag off Pelle but not Long Long always gets moans about how poor he can be. Overall he has been playing very well recently. When's the last time Pelle won a Man of the Match?
Shance Posted 13 February, 2016 Author Posted 13 February, 2016 That is NEVER a foul on the keeper and he did NOT have control of that ****ing ball. That goal should've stood. The ref is having a **** game.
Red Alert Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Terrible decision from the Ref there. Nothing wrong with that goal at all.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 Goal was perfectly ok now did that keeper have it under full control
Dalek2003 Posted 13 February, 2016 Posted 13 February, 2016 All hotting up in the bottom third of the league. I would settle for a draw today. Think we will need 43 points this season.
