whelk Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 I'd take him in a flash! He's a nuisance player and we need a couple of them now and then. Don't think we have to worry about that decision. Big clubs have scouts who dare I say have a better understanding than the captain.
whelk Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 i really can't believe I'm wasting one of my three posts replying to this but I must! If you are serious, you really are in need of Spectacles. If you were joking, you forgot to write, lol. Impressed with your level of insult Norm. Old school and I must learn to shout it at refs so I don't get the usual glares from fans who don't like such colourful language
Poolesaint Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 Lesson from history. We played 3-5-2/5-3-2 in 1983/84 as it suited the players. Mainly to find a good role for Rueben Agboola. That was some team. It's similar now. 3-5-2 seems to work. Targett is much better as a wing back in a 5 than a left back in a 4. So keep it as is. Players seem comfortable with it Your right that was some team! I was 10/11 yrs old at the time and my dad would take me to the dell and I was hooked,Steve Moran was my hero then and still my all time favourite player! Saint Fan CaM Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 Well, that didn't take long for the thread to slide into insults and strangeness. Anyway, back to the match - there's been a far few draws I believe with Swansea. By all accounts we should win this 0-1 but they've improved lately and I can see a 1-1 on the books messing up the clean sheet record.

Watched highlights from their last game and they look a real threat from set-pieces (Largely due to Sigurdsson's delivery). However, they look dodgy as f*ck defending set-plays. Wouldn't mind seeing JWP fizz a few corners into the box. Might be some joy for Fonte/Virgil in there.

One to watch is Clasie - will he start let alone last 90 minutes?
Saint Billy Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 3 nil to saints, this is so unlike me but I'm giving it a go. Btw, Stones has shed loads of potential and would have him in our side in a moment, not goong to happen though just like my prediction.
Batman Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 Stones is having a little rough patch at the mo, but for an young lad with his defending skill. He has a huge future.

Saint_Tony Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 In that case, it's a must win. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk Depends what the expectation is now, half the muppets on this forum thought we were going to get relegated four weeks ago. If we want to push for top 6 and europa, then yes it probably is. We don't have too bad a run in, but I have no idea how many points will be required. The top 5 are sorted, but that 6th spot is definitely up for grabs. I only expected mid table, its been our poor performance in the cups that has ****ed me off this season. Saint Charlie Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 JWP or Davis as a right wing back. I guess? Odd to leave Cedric out unless fitness related, especially with so long until the next game and their fast players.

bpsaint Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 Disappointed that Pelle has come back into the fold somewhat undeservedly, just my opinion of course but we seem by far a lesser threat with him ambling about and sulking. That being said he'll probably score a hat trick today. No Cedric is an odd one, who gets the right mid duty, JWP perhaps?

BARCELONASAINT Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 well i guess some will be happy that Mane is benched. I really hope Pelle rams the criticism he gets firmly down the throats of those having a go at him...much like Yoshida did last week. Matthew Le God Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 Swansea aren't particularly good at defending set pieces, which may explain why Ward-Prowse looks like he may be shoehorned into being a right wing-back.

captainchris Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 Can't understand why RK talks about healthy competition for places and continues to pick a guy who is blatantly pretty poor and has been most of the season. Also he messes up our rythem of play. He reminds me of a Subbuteo centre forward except not quite as mobile!
Lord Duckhunter Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 Great, Pelle starts He just ambles around in the centre forward position and takes away a large part of what we were doing so well recently Unless he's injured it's hard to see Ron dropping him
Saint Charlie Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 He won't. Not when Pelle is fit enough. He will. He missed a lot of football this season and is adapting to a new team and has already missed out once with a knock, no point over stretching him. He missed a lot of football this season and is adapting to a new team and has already missed out once with a knock, no point over stretching him. I reckon we won't see Austin start more than once when Pelle is also fit. No chance. Pelle is quite clear rons main man. Despite current form. He was atrocious last week and here he is. Hope to be ridiculed as that will normally mean he scores and saints win. Why would anyone not want Mane starting, consistently our biggest attacking threat. On performance it's hard to justify Pelle's inclusion. Ron's proved us all wrong recently but this lineup doesn't seem to carry much goal threat.
Saint Charlie Posted 13 February, 2016 Share Posted 13 February, 2016 JWP does seem to be brought back into the starting XI on a regular basis. Pretty much seems to start every other game. Swansea may struggle at set plays but if Cedric is fit then he should start at RWB and if JWP has to play it should be instead of Clasie or Romeu. I'd like us to win every game, as would the manager and players but that's not quite the same. But what your missing out is presumerably that it is not the end of the world if we lose or draw this game? So are you saying that our chances of getting into Europe might be better getting results against Chelsea, Liverpool, Leicester, Man city, Spurs and clubs fighting to avoid relegation?.
