Foot of the gas or Hammers taken control?

Funny sort of half that. We didn't look in too much danger but also wasteful on occasion. Conditions probably not helping either.

I wish Mane was that top 4 player he thinks he is... Drive into the box mush!!!!

US commentators gushing over Mane. He's looked superb, esp early in the half. Clasie terrific. Forster stunning save. V happy to see Maya score.

Worried that Long got hurt there. I think his achilles/ankle rather than knee. I'd consider taking off both him and Pelle for Austin and Romeu or JWP. Koeman seems to have surprised them by going for 3-4-3...

I've never been a big critic of Pelle, but his poor touch and lack of movement are starting to bore me. Rather he wasn't on :(

Agree with this. I haven't missed him, and I haven't had this feeling that we are sitting back trying to contain rather than going for it since he last played.

We look a different (much worse) team with Pelle in the team, unfortunately. Seems like all the threat is gone. Thank goodness we are a goal up. Hope for Austin second half.

This x 100

He is a centre backs dream, no mobility. Only a threat from set pieces , get Austin on and get him and long running at their back 4

We look back to where we were last year

+1. Good halves from Clasie, Vic, VVD and Fonte - Mane has had some good moments but it has to be Pelle off.

Pelle is short of match practise and thats why he looks awful.....yes we look poor with him in the team right now and its a gamble playing a player lacking match fitness but Austin hasnt got 90 minutes in him.

Yes but what is your point ? We are putting Pelle in where he doesn't fit? Why play him when our game has been playing two quick guys making runs in behind....

Hope Long is ok but even if not Pelle off Austin on and one of Mane Long off too...

Pellé has been poor so far. Seemingly keeps tripping over the ball. I'd bring him off but not for Austin, for Romeu or JWP. We need a bit more solidity in midfield as I can see West Ham getting back into this. Then if Long is still feeling the effects of that earlier knock, then bring Austin on.

We definitely need a second goal as I think West Ham have much more to give. I've had a sneaky flutter on West Ham to score the next goal to numb the pain of conceding, and I'd happily lose my money otherwise.

Clasie and Wanyama have been very good so far. Soares had a decent half too. Mané needs to keep it simple.

Overall this would be a massive win for us, but we need to play better than we did in that first half.

Very precise and correct. What on earth is the logic in leaving things as they are !

Koeman does this. Has some some sort of love in going on with Pelle...
