adrian lord Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Pundits who wrote us off as usual eating their words.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 League one level performance yet again. Conference post yet again
JakkoUK Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Fraser saved our bacon that game. Outstanding performance. Unbeaten by Arsenal this season.
wild-saint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Fraser Forster take a bow! really you think so, why?
Jonnyboy Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Forster stunning. Just a shame our strike force were very poor today.
Ade Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 League one level performance yet again. Oh FUCCOUGH U NOB
Saints Fan Dan Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Very happy, good result, good performance, 4 points off Arsenal and up to 7th. Forsters return has really made all the difference. Oh and Pompey have let in a last minute equaliser
trousers Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Despite our lack of cutting edge in the final third, our general good play deserved a point out of that. And, thanks to the big chap in goal we got what we deserved. Onwards and upwards!
Leicestersaint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 What a difference a top goalkeeper makes! Well done Forster. We could have won that if more of our side were prepared to shoot at the goal.
Koolman Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Up to 7th above Liverhampton on GD. Fraser MoM by a country mile.
Edmonton Saint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Forster superb, Shows the difference a great keeper makes compared to a competent one. Also impressed by Romeu for once, and Wanyama worked his socks off. Mane needs a rest, it's just not happening for him. Hopefully Austin in for him on Saturday.
angelman Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 League one level performance yet again. Yup - **** them all. 1st half we held our own, 2nd half FF more than held his own. Can't complain with a point. 4th clean sheet in a row. FF back in a grand style.
Norm Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 I'm more than pleased with this result. FF was really good tonight!
DuncanRG Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 All the plaudits will rightly go to Forster but Wanyama also had a brilliant game. Arsenal were clearly the better side in the second half but it was their quality rather than our weakness which got them their chances.
Pamplemousse Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 We never really got going in attack, but a good solid point away from home at one of the division's best teams.
Batman Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 great result. Very hard to go there in the league and get anything. Brilliant defensive display and Forster is just awesome. He won that point tonight more than anyone Thought Vic and Rom were excellent Long worked tirelessly but thought Mane was pretty crap to be honest tonight. He will do well to keep his place when Austin is back 4 points from United and Arsenal away is excellent
Viking Saint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Happy with a point there.....the arse-kissing of the punditry is staggering though....all the talk is of Arsenal 'dropping points' and 'being frustrated' by Southampton....the same Southampton who humbled them 4-0 last month...short memories some people.....
Baird of the land Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 What a difference a fraser forster makes. Any of the other keepers and we would have lost. Romeu and Wanyama very good in the middle. Mane caused them all sorts of problems if only he had a shred of confidence Confused as to why Pelle was preferred to Austin. Assume Clasie was being rested for weekend?
saintadjg Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Forster MOTM no competition reminded me of Brad Friedel when ever he played against us outstanding game. Big shouts to Vic & Rom too.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 really you think so, why? Were you watching the game? Fantastic to see FF on form again. He had little to do the last 3 games but tonight he was massive. Well done Ron. Tactics and defending helped us avoid a dent in our new found form. Hope Charlie is fit for Wham?
Plastic Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Pelle has to work harder if he expects to be playing regularly. He did **** all. Forster immense, defence good generally, midfield good, could have used Austin up front.
St Lej Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 It gets better...Morcambe equalise against skates in 5th min of injury time
igsey Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Fantastic from Fraser today, he looks even better than before his injury. On their current form, Forster and Butland should be fighting it out for the England #1 shirt with Hart in clear third place - but we know that's not going to happen. Good performance all round today, I thought Romeu and Bertrand were excellent, everybody bar Tadic/Pelle/Juanmi put in a very decent shift. If Mane was in the form he was at the end of last season we would have won that by two or three goals. Happy with a point, happy to drag Arsenal two points further back from Leicester.
KK the 2nd Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 It gets better...Morcambe equalise against skates in 5th min of injury time ... and it was their keeper who scored :-)
saint-ross Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 League one level performance yet again. 1/10
Toomer Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Away point is a good result can't wait for the ungracious cocks reaction.
adrian lord Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 JWP cleared from the line - he must not be forgotten when the history books are written. The table looks nice tonight.
Dalek2003 Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 What a difference a fraser forster makes. Any of the other keepers and we would have lost. Romeu and Wanyama very good in the middle. Mane caused them all sorts of problems if only he had a shred of confidence Confused as to why Pelle was preferred to Austin. Assume Clasie was being rested for weekend? Mane just needs to get a goal to get his shooting specs on !
Give it to Ron Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Pelle has to work harder if he expects to be playing regularly. He did **** all. Forster immense, defence good generally, midfield good, could have used Austin up front. How when he is injured? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mr Biscuits Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 That'll do. Forster was utterly superb, kept us in the match. Arsenal should have won that frankly, not because we were poor but because they had the better chances. Walcott was completely anonymous. Definite handball in their area. Mane unlucky, but didn't give up.
Sheaf Saint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Couldn't really have complained at two defeats from our last two games, so to come away from them with four points and no goals conceded is a superb return. Arse will feel they should have won that, and they certainly got enough help from Lee Mason, but that was a MOTM performance from Forster. So good to have him back, as you can't help but feel that Stek would have let at least one of those efforts in tonight. Just a shame our own attempts at goal were so weak, otherwise we could have performed a smash and grab.
Jimmy_D Posted 2 February, 2016 Author Posted 2 February, 2016 It gets better...Morcambe equalise against skates in 5th min of injury time And it was their keeper that equalised
CWD Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Cracking performance from Forster, and credit to Fonte and VVD who restricted them to a lot of half chances. If Mané could finish we might have nicked it, but overall a good point.
pangy Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Anyone who votes any player other than FF for MOTM clearly didn't watch the game/know about football Also convinced that Shane Long has a twin brother that can't play football They must play every other week
ecuk268 Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 It gets better...Morcambe equalise against skates in 5th min of injury time Scored by Morecambe's keeper.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 4 straight clean sheets (360 unbeaten minutes plus extras) after being out for so long injured and two of them away at Arsenal and Man U Forster has been superb
SNSUN Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Shame Charlie wasn't fit enough to come on and win this for us! Great point though, Fraser awesome and MoTM. 4 points and two clean sheets against Arsenal this season, thanks Gunners. Adrian Durham will be spitting blood on Talksport Drivetime tomorrow. Morecambe's goalkeeper equalised in injury time against the Skates too. Decent night all round! Now to close the gap on sixth by beating Whammers.
Saint Charlie Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Got to be happy with that. Class from Forster and the two CMs especially. Wanyama showed why he is quality. Only frustration was we wasted some pretty presentable forward chances. Missed Davis' composure in final third passing and Long and Mane both wasted good opportunities to break. West Ham game nicely poised.
Plastic Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 How when he is injured? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I know he's injured - my meaning was 'it would have been good to have Austin upfront'
ADutchSaint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Good performance overall, the front guys didnt had their day tho against a pretty good Arsenal if you ask me, Ozil and Alexis are really class. Forster man of the match by a mile
jamesfp1 Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 What is Forsters Saints games to clean sheets ratio?
