bpsaint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Good first half, thought we battled well. Shocking atmosphere from the Arse!
DuncanRG Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Love the entitled Arsenal fans booing at half time when they've had the better chances and not had a single moment of strong support since kickoff.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 But for two world-class saves they'd be 2-0 up. But its not a finish is it, and that`s what Forster is there for isn`t he
northam soul Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 We need some quality in the box, that was dreadful Prowse.
Batman Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 dodgy stream for me. Good half, defended well Thought Vic and Rom were very good but hard to tell on my stream seem to lack a killer pass or something...mane had our best effort I think
Jonnyboy Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 But for two world-class saves they'd be 2-0 up. Exactly
Saint_clark Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 A few have said JWP is having a good game, yet defensively, he and Cedric have looked suspect and in attack he slows down the flow. I'd like to hear what it is he's doing that I'm missing. Romeu and Vic best on the park, Bertrand good - Arsenal do look a threat though. Well that chance for Arsenal near the end where Ozil shot from 6 yards out? JWP made the tackle.
Saint Charlie Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Romeu and Wanyama excellent. We are a miles better team for having Wanyama in it IMO.
SaintAndy14 Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 What a half from Romeu I thought, superb (what I could make out from dodgy streams!). Has Tadic done anything? I've only seen him give the ball away so far from his limited involvement?
Sheaf Saint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted this on the build-up thread by mistake. Mane having another shocker tonight. His decision making when he has the ball in good positions is atrocious.
Faz Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 A few have said JWP is having a good game, yet defensively, he and Cedric have looked suspect and in attack he slows down the flow. I'd like to hear what it is he's doing that I'm missing. Romeu and Vic best on the park, Bertrand good - Arsenal do look a threat though. You're seeing what you wan to see. He's playing pretty well. Getting stuck in and playing well out of defence. Nothing really dangerous has come down our right.
Shance Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Hats off to Victor. I reckon Koeman had a word as for the last three games he's been brilliant.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Romeu and Wanyama excellent. We are a miles better team for having Wanyama in it IMO. Thought he did`nt want to be here?
austsaint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted this on the build-up thread by mistake. Mane having another shocker tonight. His decision making when he has the ball in good positions is atrocious. Yet he put it on a plate for Prowsey to nil effect.
trousers Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 But for two world-class saves they'd be 2-0 up. How many of Arsenal's games would have been different results without Cech in goal? That's what good keepers are for...influencing the outcome of games
Convict Colony Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Tadic only the player who needs to contribute more this half
Saint_clark Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Yet he put it on a plate for Prowsey to nil effect. He should have shot but he was in front of the near post facing away from goal, so you can see why he didn't. In his eyes Bertrand was running in and would have a clear shot on goal so...
Saint Charlie Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Ref has been good I think and has let us be quite physical with Sanchez and Ozil.
doddisalegend Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Romeu and Wanyama excellent. We are a miles better team for having Wanyama in it IMO. Victor looking good against a top six side shocker guy always looks good when auditioning for his CL dream....
saintadjg Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Vic & Rom fantastic so far.Tadic bit disappointing so far .JWP play in well I thought. As are rest of the team. Mane really needs a confidence boosting goal. Forster classy as ever.is it just me or has improved since the injury?
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Victor looking good against a top six side shocker guy always looks good when auditioning for his CL dream.... YAWN....
suewhistle Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Wey hey, found a local bar with two screens (there's local footie on). That was a pretty intense first half. Romeu is playing well, even one of the local commentators commented how much he'd improved since he was first in England at Chelsea (?).
wooley11 Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Romeu, brilliant first half. He is playing for his place in the team. Thought he deserved to keep his place during vic's suspension but looks to me like he hasn't given up. Good on him....
Jonnyboy Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Tadic only the player who needs to contribute more this half He still looks up for it, he loves a goal against the big clubs.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Ref has been good I think and has let us be quite physical with Sanchez and Ozil. Not really, just not giving them free kicks when they have`nt been fouled..nice change
Plastic Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 dodgy stream for me. Good half, defended well Thought Vic and Rom were very good but hard to tell on my stream seem to lack a killer pass or something...mane had our best effort I think Given up on Sportsmania? Mine's perfect.
Chez Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 When we get between the lines we have to do more, mane especially. Other than that I can't fault us.
igsey Posted 2 February, 2016 Author Posted 2 February, 2016 Ref has been good I think and has let us be quite physical with Sanchez and Ozil. You're joking right? He's been awful, we've just been the lucky recipients of most of his bad decisions.
Edmonton Saint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Another worldie from Forster, after long tripped over the ball
trousers Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Long trips on the ball when through. And a world class save from Forster at the other end!
igsey Posted 2 February, 2016 Author Posted 2 February, 2016 I am so glad we have Fraser Forster back!
Dalek2003 Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Victor looking good against a top six side shocker guy always looks good when auditioning for his CL dream.... Give it a rest you Troll.
Shance Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Forster again. I love this man. Move over Butland.
Crab Lungs Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 I think I'm ready to admit that without Forster tonight, we'd be losing comfortably.
John Boy Saint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 Long tackles himself to set up a test for Fraser bizarre
trousers Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 This has got a sneaky 1-0 win to Arsenal written all over it...
austsaint Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 We are missing Davis in the AM role, to feed Long and Mane.
trousers Posted 2 February, 2016 Posted 2 February, 2016 We are missing Davis in the AM role, to feed Long and Mane. Or some killer through balls from Clasie...?
igsey Posted 2 February, 2016 Author Posted 2 February, 2016 Obviously there's been lots of talking at half time - Arsenal are now all over us, and Lee Mason has switched sides to the Arse.
