saint-crinny Posted 1 February, 2016 Share Posted 1 February, 2016 These Ox reports have got to be rubbish. With the volume of injuries that Arsenal get to their midfield, there's no way they'd even consider it, aside from the fact that he is quality. Plus Koeman's emphatic presser this morning. Doubt he'd be keen either. Still, it's deadline day and nothing appears to be happening so if you're a national newspaper....

saint-crinny Posted 1 February, 2016 Share Posted 1 February, 2016 Part of a Wanyama deal? In the summer maybe - from our perspective I'd be happy with that (although Vic would still need replacing). Just can't see Arsenal wanting to get rid. He's young, talented, and they'll know his best is yet to come
thefuriousb Posted 1 February, 2016 Share Posted 1 February, 2016 Fair play to Newcastle this window. Long time coming for their fans They have not addressed their major problem/weakness. Seems like they are going to make Keegan's team look like overly defensive, dour side. However, I think there are 3 worse teams in Norwich, Sunderland & villa. Golden Balls Posted 1 February, 2016 Share Posted 1 February, 2016 No way are we getting or even going for Ox. Why would he leave? This is Arsenals best chance to win the league. He'd want to be there for that. I can imagine he'd been keen on the first team football but it won't happen now. No way.

Premier League clubs cannot loan in any players this season after today. The incoming transfer and loan window for Saints ends today. In a weeks time the emergency loan window opens and we can loan out players to Football League clubs.

Saint Charlie Posted 1 February, 2016 Share Posted 1 February, 2016 Swansea getting desperate and thinking Leroy Fer will help. Have only seen one player with a worse attitude/work rate on the pitch over the last few years and that was Bryan Ruiz.

He looks class. I don't think that it is rocket science, and most clubs seem to know about the same players. It's just whether they (the clubs) are prepared to go for the player and whether the club fits how the player sees his future. Let's face it, if it comes down to Liverpool, Spurs and us, most players are likely to go to those clubs in that order. Of course there is personal circumstances that come into play (maybe Austin and his Mrs being southerners) as well as whether they will actually get game time. CB Fry Posted 1 February, 2016 Share Posted 1 February, 2016 Remy Garde going to leave Villa??? He might as well. To be fair Villa board probably right to not buy anyone - they are relegated, without question, so what's the point of spending now. It's harsh and gutting for Villa fans but they are down. Agree with you on that, but if we were interested as suggested in signing this bloke as a prospect then I would have expected us to have gone back in for him and compete with Norwich. Or perhaps we're confident of JWP and Reed as being the future of our midfield.

kitch Posted 2 February, 2016 Share Posted 2 February, 2016 The Ox is a dead cert in the summer. Allow me to prove it so.... FIFA 14 comes out. I buy Shane Long to partner SRL. 2014 season ends....we buy Shane Long. FIFA 15 comes out. I buy Charlie Austin to a create a Jay Rod/Austin partnership (couldn't get Pelle to fire on FIFA 15 - probably doing something wrong). Some months later, we buy Charlie Austin. FIFA 16, I'm in the middle of my third season with us, sitting in 4th place in the league. Charlie Austin's back again (top BPL scorer), schlong obviously still here, and my no.1 man for assists.....Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. It will happen, have faith. Question is, who should I buy on FIFA 17?!
