Guan 2.0 Posted 11 May, 2016 Posted 11 May, 2016 Weather looks mild Tuesday so could be some big queues on the day. The club could do worse than to offer a % discount on Europa league pre orders linked to a testimonial ticket (if we qualify)
Golden Balls Posted 11 May, 2016 Posted 11 May, 2016 The club could do worse than to offer a % discount on Europa league pre orders linked to a testimonial ticket (if we qualify) Probably a bit late now. Think they thought (like most people) that it would sell well. Looking back it probably should have been £10 to maybe get people out. £14 is still cheap though.
simo Posted 11 May, 2016 Posted 11 May, 2016 Me and quite a few I know are leaving buying ours until sunday , Maybe a lot of others are doing the same?
doddisalegend Posted 11 May, 2016 Posted 11 May, 2016 The club have released a "get your ass down here" plead from Rickie. Must be worried that this is going to be a washout of a half full stadium. The promotions 11 should feel right at home then....
Saint_clark Posted 11 May, 2016 Posted 11 May, 2016 Our attendances were always upwards of 25k those two seasons weren't they?
Saints foreva Posted 11 May, 2016 Posted 11 May, 2016 Our attendances were always upwards of 25k those two seasons weren't they? Averages were 22,161 in the League One season and 26,420 in the Championship season.
doddisalegend Posted 11 May, 2016 Posted 11 May, 2016 Our attendances were always upwards of 25k those two seasons weren't they? I was just being flippant our attendances were pretty good. Though I wonder were all the half and half scarf, selfie taking, glued to their mobiles all game fans were back then.
Saint Garrett Posted 12 May, 2016 Posted 12 May, 2016 Aaron Martin and Lee Holmes now confirmed...scraping the barrell a bit. Whats Forte and N'Guessen up to these days?
Saint Garrett Posted 12 May, 2016 Posted 12 May, 2016 Are Chaplow or Guly on the bus yet? Steve Grant said Guly isn't coming - I'd fully expect Chappers to be there!
Turkish Posted 12 May, 2016 Posted 12 May, 2016 Is Cortese going to make a show? Perhaps he'll come along to be chairman of the promotion team, given that without him there wouldn't have been a promotion team. What with him leaving Saints on good terms with his head held high I'm sure he'd love to come and see his old friends and colleagues, not to mention to be able to say a proper goodbye to the fans.
Lets B Avenue Posted 12 May, 2016 Posted 12 May, 2016 Aaron Martin and Lee Holmes now confirmed...scraping the barrell a bit. Whats Forte and N'Guessen up to these days? Jonno Quick is still banging them in for Oldham. Dany played for Doncaster up to xmas, but not since. Presumably fell out with Fergie Jnr, who led them to another relegation.

He'll need those built-up shoes, if he's to keep "his head held high."
Turkish Posted 12 May, 2016 Posted 12 May, 2016 He'll need those built-up shoes, if he's to keep "his head held high." True, if he didn't have them on and he walked around with his head up people might think he was trying to give them a blow job.
Saint_clark Posted 12 May, 2016 Posted 12 May, 2016 Aaron Martin and Lee Holmes now confirmed...scraping the barrell a bit. Whats Forte and N'Guessen up to these days? Aaron Martin was quite a big squad player for us, Holmes is obviously there to pad the squad out a bit in the absence of Guly and Chamberlain - although Holmes did score for us in the Championship! I'd wager every player who played in those two years was invited.

In my mind Seabourne played more than him - might be wrong.

I'd wager every player who played in those two years was invited. Holmes didn't score for us in the NPC promotion season. If anything, he's representative of Lowe's glorious failed youth experiment. Indeed, wasn't he Lowe's first signing? Remember him appearing out of nowhere to start away at Millwall in 2010; but he hardly featured under the new ownership; and don't think he featured at all in our L1 promotion campaign.

Nordic Saint Posted 12 May, 2016 Posted 12 May, 2016 It's pretty cheap but people already spend loads throughout the season and probably just don't want to spend more. Also the final game being at home might have an impact. Be surprised if he gets more than 10,000 That's about what I've expected, Adrian, but it looks like more than 15,000 tickets have been sold already and I guess a few thousand more will pay on the day. It's not bad for a player who, although he's considered a nice bloke, many of our fans would have liked to see leave at least 2 years ago. Le Tissier got 32,000 because of who he was; not the price of the tickets.
shurlock Posted 12 May, 2016 Posted 12 May, 2016 scored against Watford at St Marys So he did. Christ. Good spot Saint Clark. Hard to disassociate him from the whole disaster that was 2008-09.
Ice2Eskimos Posted 12 May, 2016 Posted 12 May, 2016 The lineup apart from 1 or 2 is bloody awful. Honestly... Chris Perry?..Aaron Martin..Lee Barnard. (I'm going from memory from what I saw of the lineup) Jesus wept. Just to complete the lineup of utterly crap players lets hear it for Danny Fox!!!
Golden Balls Posted 12 May, 2016 Posted 12 May, 2016 Edit: just realised who I was replying to. Anyway. Heard today we've sold over 16k so might not be too bad.

That wasn't the L1 promotion season. He didn't start in either of the consecutive promotion seasons I don't think.
CB Fry Posted 12 May, 2016 Posted 12 May, 2016 Lee Holmes was very good at Derby away. The solitary, glorious moment of hope of the Poortvliet era.
SuperSAINT Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 Southampton FC @SouthamptonFC The Promotions Eleven has received another boost! Former #SaintsFC midfielder @Rchap04 is set for #SKD10:

Bit harsh on Barnard that, he was an important player for us in League 1.

Saint Charlie Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 Adkins is back as Manager. Easily worth the money for a loyal Saint if you haven't yet got a ticket, should be quality.
Saint Charlie Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 Anyone know if Dean Hammond confirmed either way? He is playing.
