Excellent viewing.

Great to see some of the favourites on there again, Jaidi, Billy Sharp for example, two players who contributed greatly in short periods with us.

Wow. Tears were building up in that dressing room speech from him and then when he gave that final speech on the pitch, I shed a few tears. Emotional stuff. Love you Kelvin :)

Ralph said he will have a role in another YouTube video.

Best match day uncovered yet. Poor kelvin was choked up at the end. Felt so nostalgic seeing all those former players, too. Thanks to Kelv and all of them. What a journey.

Wow. Absolutely brilliant video. Very emotional at the end there where Kelvin is sat in the changing room on his own.

That was a fantastic 20mins viewing, really brought back the memories of the last 7 or so years - it's been one hell of a ride. Davis was right in that pre-match speech, every one of those guys played a huge part in where we are today. From those freezing nights beating Wycombe at home, beating Brighton away......they were all massive parts of the most amazing 7 years of my football supporting life. They've put this club into it's strongest ever position and how Kelvin has brought everyone together over the years has had a big impact too. I really hope he stays on in some way, I think he's huge around the place.

Great club, great people.

That's a fantastic video. Willing to admit that I was a bit choked up last night when I saw all the old players, in the old kit, with Nigel in the dugout. Then my eyes panned to the next dugout with a footballing legend sat there, managing the current Saints set-up. Then hearing the old chants and Kelvin's speech - it was brilliant.

It just sunk in how far we've come, how quickly we've done it and how great all the guys were who got us there in such good time.

Kelvin's clearly been a massive influence on so many people and it's testament to him that those guys turned out, and the fans, also.

Looks like he's going to stay here, and too right. He's a hero in my eyes and was part of a set-up that gave me the best years of my life as a Saints supporter in my teenage years. Thank you, Super Kelv.

Thanks for this. Absolutely fantastic. Gutted I couldn't have been there.
for all those who gave cheap swipes at KD should be ashamed of themselves. KD and servants like him do more than just play for the club. You can see he bleeds red and white and the players and staff acknowledge his contribution. Yes he made mistakes in games but he more than made up for those with match winning saves.

What great viewing, if you haven't watched do so, raise a glass and wipe that pesky bit of dust (honest) from your eyes.

Very glad I went, just for those couple of moments where the promotions XI surged forwards in the sash shirt with the same style and elan that they did back then as if they were all playing together still for the Saints brushing teams aside in style.

If a full recording of this game exists then the club should make a DVD of it - profits to Kelvin's charity. It was an awesome goalkeeping performance which I would happily buy.

Funny how nobody mentions SKD giving the fans the bird at Hillsborough when Wednesday thrashed us 5-0 and he was absolutely hopeless! Got a lot of time for the guy and he is clearly very popular in the dressing room but he let himself and the club down very badly that day.

Hope he enjoys his retirement and the club give him a shot at a role off the pitch.

Well he mentioned it himself in his speech after the game on Tuesday, and in his programme notes. He saw it as a turning point, one that made him work harder to prove himself. He did this, slowly regained the fans trust and now look at him.

he also had 2 of our players by the throat at halftime as he told them they didn't care and not trying. I know this to be true as I know someone there at the time

Feel bad for completely forgetting about him, but does anyone know why Jos Hooiveld wasn't there?

Still playing for AIK in Sweden. Their season is still in full swing.

I see that AIK play at Solna, is this the same stadium that will be used for the Europa Cup final next year?

If Carlsberg did testimonials....this would be the template. Only wish St Mary's had been full but that was a very respectable crowd.

Lots of laughter, appreciation and the fully deserved adulation for Ricky, Tiss and, of course, SKD - some pretty football too with just enough effort and application for a friendly.

Chants I've not seen mentioned yet ' He turned down the skates' to Dan Harding who waved and laughed and the 'Staying down.......P*mpey's staying down with no money in the bank' and although mentioned..the '**** Ricky Lambert' and Adkins' 'Sacked in the morning' were just pure gold! Loved Jaidhi's twist and turn and Graziano holding Jose at corners - a real feel good evening, really glad I went!

Great club, great players and a chance to thank some of those who moved on as we progressed - well done SKD, well done SFC!!

I've just got something in my eye, I swear!

Here's one of my favourite moments from his career.

Even though he built that spirit up for the first four years, along with his good friend, the other massively important person no longer with us.

RIP Dalian Wanda.

AIK sold their former stadium at Råsunda,(the old National arena) a couple of years ago .....and now play at a new stadium ....but it's in the same area.

Any feedback on this?

Enjoyable evening btw and nice to see a lot of family groups

Re the PA - all seemed OK when Ralph and SKD used the mike. Seems that Kenzi doesn't have a powerful enough voice delivery

Maybe someone else who needs some microphone training, but she does have a good personality and is very enthusiastic.

Anyone else feeling slightly less hatred towards Poch after that picture...?:scared: almost feels a bit like some form of closure haha.

Not really ...still debating that. Noticed that just like many other Prem. managers, he always has a load of good excuses when his team is beaten by Saints.

Davo - you make it sound like we beat them regularly. Go take your pills you silly old fart.

UPDATE : If we are to undergo yet another mass change in the club, perhaps the idea of a behind-the-scenes job for Kelvin isn't such a bad idea.

......he certainly seems to have the respect of the rest of the playing staff.....especially if we face the prospect of losing some players.....

As much as I love the guy and he could well make a good manager one day, everything people have said is that he's too much of a joker behind the scenes to be taken seriously by players as a manager.

I don't think David is suggesting we make Kelvin the manager!

Just that he'd be handy to keep at the club as a staff member behind the scenes, or on the coaching staff, like Sammy/Dave, to provide continuity.

We certainly need some continuity.

Not manager for goodness sake ..I said.... " a behind the scenes job ".

Kelvin's been so much of an asset for these the past few years, and has a great deal of respect from the players. It'd be difficult to think of Saints without him.
