"My" memory is not what it was but I think "I" am the answer to the original question: on my debut, "I" scored the quickest ever goal at the Dell. See post 28. Unfortunately, it was downhill thereafter!

Best forum response ever?

"I" ushered in a short series of midfielders whose surnames started with the letter M. Sadly, most of them were better than "me". But "I" do hold that quick-scoring record and it cannot be beaten!

Perhaps not the quickest but I recall seeing Micky Judd and Bobby Stokes score on their respective debuts.

I seem to recall they were both Easter holiday fixtures, and it was shirtsleeves weather for both.

Bobby Stokes scored 2 on his debut V Burnley Apr 1969. Don't think they were early on in the match though

I reckon Graham Baker's must be the quickest at the start of a match.

I think Henri Camara did

good shout. That was the game at St Andrews were Red**** played Kenwyne Jones in midfield and he did his best Ali Dia impression in the first half - absolutely woeful. Camara came on for him at half time and was electric and scored straight away. We still lost though.

Sorry Eric - but it wasn't. See post #28 (Tommy Mulgrew)

Bobby Stokes' goals (v.Burnley)..were 14th and 25th minutes.

Two that I remember vividly because I had the displeasure of witnessing both

Graziano Pelle - except it was home debut and was an own goal...

Jamie Redknap - except it was PL debut and at the time against us...

Didn't Pandiani go one better that night and score before he'd even been registered for Brum?

I think that Neil Maddison scored on his debut and then in the next 2 games as well. Can't be sure though, as Duncan's book stops in 1987.

Scored on his first two starts at Wimbledon and at home to Forest. But he had been on twice as a sub before then.
