Toomer Posted 22 January, 2016 Share Posted 22 January, 2016 Very good insight to Frasers recovery from the depths of despair to the high point of his return.

Saint Charlie Posted 22 January, 2016 Share Posted 22 January, 2016 Quality video. Forster comes across very well and seems a genuine guy. Clear the whole medical setup works very diligently. Also interesting Watson said that his return gave players, staff and fans a lift because they knew how good a goalkeeper he is. Certainly true and clear Stekelenburg never had the same impact. Forster halfway through his 4 year deal in the summer, and is someone who we should definitely be looking to tie down beyond that ASAP.

saintoaks Posted 23 January, 2016 Share Posted 23 January, 2016 Really good watch, comes across as a humble bloke, I'm sure the medical team are doing exactly the same process with Jay Rod.

He needed to change surgeons for the second op as the first one dodnt manage it correctly (allegedly)
Saint_clark Posted 23 January, 2016 Share Posted 23 January, 2016 You'd expect him to be offered a new contract at the end of this season once he's been tested on that knee a bit longer. Also did i mishear them or did they say that no premier league player had ever come back from this injury before!?
Saint Fan CaM Posted 23 January, 2016 Share Posted 23 January, 2016 Really great watch. I hope Frazer remembers how Saints stood by him during a career threatening injury when we offer him a new contract. It just goes to show how bad J-Rods injury was and how he was brought back too soon initially, given that Frazer has actually leap-frogged him in his recovery. Also did i mishear them or did they say that no premier league player had ever come back from this injury before!? I thought it was .....that the injury had never previously been recorded for a Prem. goalie. and meaning those rare injuries (previously noted) were for players at a lower level, who (presumably) didn't have the rehab facilities available that Fraser had. also ......thought it was good PR for the whole medical unit, who might otherwise never had got in front of the camera. Good work everyone.

I think Jay Rod's original injury was ACL...and took a long time to correct. The present problem was (according to Koeman) a problem with his foot and not the knee. Saint IQ Posted 23 January, 2016 Share Posted 23 January, 2016 Yeah Jay Rod has a foot problem now, whether that's because he spent so long out or is just bad luck is anyones guess.

Jay had a massive set back, he was getting close and then got an infection in the knee - that just reset the entire process pretty much. Now he's got a foot problem, which is more than likely due to stresses he hasn't had for over a year.
LGTL Posted 23 January, 2016 Share Posted 23 January, 2016 Jay Rod's original operation was a massive botch job, hence the infection. If we'd have got a decent surgeon it would have been ok.

Crab Lungs Posted 24 January, 2016 Share Posted 24 January, 2016 League One standard surgeon apparently. Therein lies the problem. Probably has a few half-decent drills but all in all, not good enough.
