Genuine nice guy, went through a real hard time when younger which didn't make the media (unlike a former Saints striker). Met him a few times, really nice guy who I think will do well for the club.

I remember him being generally dismissed by some on here as a nasty piece of work and not for us whilst he was at Swindon. Some even claimed he had a dislike for us and took special pleasure in scoring against us. How times change.

Although I am not naive enough to think all 'dreams come true' and fairy-tales, I can tell you he very much wanted to play for us and has done for a few seasons. He had the opportunity to go Bournemouth plus a few other prem clubs but chose Southampton. He does have an affinity with the South Coast and wanted to move back here so on that basis I share some of the warm fuzzies the guys above are getting from him.
