norwaysaint Posted 26 February, 2016 Share Posted 26 February, 2016 Think you're putting too much store in that quiz - does Trump actually have any policies besides building a big f**k off wall and getting Mexico to pay for it? Sorry, forgot - he wants to ban Muslims and keep Gitmo open for business. Besides that it's all slogans. Not surprising then that he doesn't poll right at the bottom of the list for most people as first he needs to have policies to disagree with. As for why he gets so much publicity? That's obvious - he's good for the media. You'd struggle to much click bait about any of the other politicians because they're all fairly dull but with Trump he'll virtually write the article for you. He was a celebrity anyway and now he's front-runner so hardly surprising he's going to get more coverage. Once you add in the fact that he's totally barking mad then it's no wonder this has become the Trump show. You're obviously right that not many people 'love' the other candidates but why should they? Clinton is offering a pragmatic and (for the US) left-of-centre manifesto - it's hard to get worked up over those kind of 'more of the same' policies although hopefully she'll get in. They're sensible but dull - precisely what the US needs (IMO). Course it doesn't play well against a background of angry chants of "this country needs fixing' but personally I don't think anyone should even be competing on that level. The rest of the candidates are also struggling for the same reasons but even JFK would. Although to be fair if he was resurrected then that would be a hell of a publicity stunt so maybe not....... Have you looked at the quiz results after taking it? If you click on how your answers compare with Trump (or any other candidate) it will show you direct quotes from Trump stating his position on every issue from affirmative action to subsidising farmers. It's very thorough. Trump has become widely known for his position on immigration and has played on that because it's stirred up the reaction he was after. He has stated his position on all of the other topics as well though and taken part in debates where they've been discussed. The other issues get less publicity because in most other areas, Trump is pretty moderate, as opposed to Cruz and Rubio who are very conservative. This is one of the things they attacked Trump for in the last debate.

Gingeletiss Posted 27 February, 2016 Share Posted 27 February, 2016 What I See Happening In a Trump Presidency By William J Bennett, host of Bill Bennett’s Morning America Show They will kill him, before they let him be president. It could be a Republican or a Democrat that instigates the shutting up of Trump. Don’t be surprised if Trump has an accident. Some people are getting very nervous: Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton and Jon Corzine, to name just a few. It's about the unholy dynamics between big government, big business, and big media. They all benefit by the billions of dollars from this partnership, and it's in all of their interests to protect one another. It's one for all and all for one. It’s a heck of a filthy relationship that makes everyone filthy rich, everyone except the American people. We get ripped off. We’re the patsies. But for once, the powerful socialist cabal and the corrupt crony capitalists are scared. The over-the-top reaction to Trump by politicians of both parties, the media, and the biggest corporations of America has been so swift and insanely angry that it suggests they are all threatened and frightened. Donald Trump can self-fund. No matter how much they say to the contrary, the media, business, and political elite understand that Trump is no joke. He could actually win and upset their nice cozy apple cart. It's no coincidence that everyone has gotten together to destroy The Donald. It's because most of the other politicians are part of the a good old boys club. They talk big, but they won’t change a thing. They are all beholden to big-money donors. They are all owned by lobbyists, unions, lawyers, gigantic environmental organizations, and multinational corporations – like Big Pharmacy or Big Oil. Or they are owned lock, stock, and barrel by foreigners like George Soros owns Obama or foreign governments own Hillary and their Clinton Foundation donations. These run-of-the-mill establishment politicians are all puppets owned by big money. But there's one man who isn't beholden to anyone. There's one man who doesn't need foreigners, or foreign governments, or George Soros, or the United Auto Workers, or the teacher's union, or the Service Employees International Union, or the Bar Association to fund his campaign. Billionaire tycoon and maverick Donald Trump doesn’t need anyone’s help. That means he doesn’t care what the media says. He doesn’t care what the corporate elites think. That makes him very dangerous to the entrenched interests. That makes Trump a huge threat to those people. Trump can ruin everything for the bribed politicians and their spoiled slave masters. Don’t you ever wonder why the GOP has never tried to impeach Obama? Don’t you wonder why John Boehner and Mitch McConnell talk a big game, but never actually try to stop Obama? Don’t you wonder why Congress holds the purse strings, yet has never tried to defund Obamacare or Obama’s clearly illegal executive action on amnesty for illegal aliens? Bizarre, right? It defies logic, right? First, I'd guess many key Republicans are being bribed. Secondly, I believe many key Republicans are being blackmailed. Whether they are having affairs, or secretly gay, or stealing taxpayer money, the National Security Agency knows everything. Ask former House Speaker Dennis Hastert about that. The government even knew he was withdrawing large sums of his own money from his own bank account. The NSA, the SEC, the IRS, and all the other three-letter government agencies are watching every Republican political leader. They surveil everything. Thirdly, many Republicans are petrified of being called racists, so they are scared to ever criticize Obama or call out his crimes, let alone demand his impeachment. Fourth , why rock the boat? After defeat or retirement, if you’re a good old boy, you’ve got a $5 million-per-year lobbying job waiting. The big-money interests have the system gamed. Win or lose, they win. But Trump doesn’t play by any of these rules. Trump breaks up this nice, cozy relationship between big government, big media, and big business. All the rules are out the window if Trump wins the Presidency. The other politicians will protect Obama and his aides but not Trump. Remember: Trump is the guy who publicly questioned Obama's birth certificate. He questioned Obama's college records and how a mediocre student got into an Ivy League university. Now, he's doing something no Republican has the chutzpah to do. He's questioning our relationship with Mexico; he's questioning why the border is wide open; he's questioning why no wall has been built across the border; he's questioning if allowing millions of illegal aliens into America is in our best interests; he's questioning why so many illegal aliens commit violent crimes, yet are not deported; and he's questioning why our trade deals with Mexico, Russia and China are so bad. Trump has the audacity to ask out loud why American workers always get the short end of the stick. Good question! I'm certain Trump will question what happened to the almost billion dollars given in a rigged no-bid contract to college friends of Michelle Obama at foreign companies to build the defective Obamacare website. By the way, that tab is now up to $5 billion. Trump will ask if Obamacare's architects can be charged with fraud for selling it by lying. Trump will investigate Obama's widespread IRS conspiracy, not to mention Obama's college records. Trump will prosecute Clinton and Obama for fraud committed to cover up Benghazi before the election. How about the fraud committed by employees of the Labor Department when they made up dramatic job numbers in the last jobs report before the 2012 election? Obama, the multinational corporations and the media need to stop Trump. They recognize this could get out of control. If left unchecked, telling the raw truth and asking questions everyone else is afraid to ask, Trump could wake a sleeping giant. Trump's election would be a nightmare. Obama has committed many crimes. No one else but Trump would dare to prosecute. He will not hesitate. Once Trump gets in and gets a look at the cooked books and Obama's records, the game is over. The jig is up. The goose is cooked. Holder could wind up in prison. Jarrett could wind up in prison. Obama bundler Corzine could wind up in prison for losing $1.5 billion of customer money. Clinton could wind up in jail for deleting 32,000 emails or for accepting bribes from foreign governments while Secretary of State, or for misplacing $6 billion as the head of the State Department, or for lying about Benghazi. The entire upper level management of the IRS could wind up in prison. Obamacare will be de-funded and dismantled. Obama himself could wind up ruined, his legacy in tatters. Trump will investigate. Trump will prosecute. Trump will go after everyone involved. That’s why the dogs of hell have been unleashed on Donald Trump. Yes, it's become open season on Donald Trump. The left and the right are determined to attack his policies, harm his businesses and if possible, even keep him out of the coming debates. But they can't silence him. And they sure can't intimidate him. The more they try, the more the public will realize that he's the one telling the truth.

holepuncture Posted 29 February, 2016 Share Posted 29 February, 2016 No. No he is not. Who is "this lot" by the way? Well, most of Eastern & Southern Europe have implemented his idea of 'building walls' to keep the potential impending disasters away, so whilst he may go a bit OTT it is (evidently) already happening within our own social and political unions. In reference to the babysitter who beheaded her employers young child then paraded the head in daylight Russia, whilst screaming the common call of aluakbar(sp.), "this lot" is radical islam. van Hanegem Posted 24 July, 2016 Share Posted 24 July, 2016 As much as I really dislike Hilary Clinton and her get power at all costs, we need her to win as Trump is pretty scary. Nostradamous I thouhgt warned of an anti crist taking over, something on those lines and i think Trump is the closest to that. There again his daughter could reign over me anytime Trump acts like a total nutter but when I would be forced to choose I would rather have him for president than Clinton who is far more dangerous to world order. As Trump is mainly focussing on the US, Clinton might start the next mistake by harassing Iran. She was already part of the idiot policy to mess up Libya etc., as a senator a while ago she said she would bomb the hell out of Iran when they would attack Israel, I guess that's the kind of talk her sponsors were waiting for but I for sure wouldn't want a POTUS who is likely to act on these kind of thoughts. Furthermore she believes Europe is too soft on Putin, the economic sanctions against Russia should be a lot more severe. Right, let's get back to the days of cold war on the Eastern front... Favouring Clinton over Trump, you might rethink this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yn6yktWU5qA

Hamilton Saint Posted 9 August, 2016 Share Posted 9 August, 2016 More serious and disturbing BS from Donald Trump. He says that Hillary Clinton wants to "essentially abolish the second amendment". More incredibly, he suggests that there is nothing anyone can do about it, except "the second amendment people." Is that an incitement, or what?! http://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2016-37029170
Saint in Paradise Posted 14 August, 2016 Share Posted 14 August, 2016 Even more serious IF true but it is now being alleged that Clinton has Parkinsons desease. I am not medically qualified so I am unable to say if this article is correct, I am just posting it so you can have a look. http://www.dangerandplay.com/2016/08/12/hillary-clinton-has-parkinsons-disease-physician-confirms/ Pretty dangerous to put that in writing in the U.S. unless you really know and can prove it I think. Not dangerous in the least. The first Amendment protects speech, especially about public figures, to the nth degree. You can literally say anything about pols and not be sued. And while your saying it's 'dangerous...unless you really know and can prove it' might in your mind imply some sort of truth to that article, what you don't mention is that its author is one of America's most notorious far-right trolls (a label he actually gives himself). God only knows what you're doing trawling around the political sewers inhabited by people like him, Milo Yiannopoulos and David Duke, but you can be pretty sure that the 'report' is the the kind of vicious ******** that even Fox News steers well clear of. Dark Munster Posted 14 August, 2016 Share Posted 14 August, 2016 I hear Donald is now marketing his "Trump Sandwich" - White bread, full of baloney, with a Russian dressing. Comes with a small pickle.
