Yep he's been great at reading and Sheff u hasn't he joker

Did great things for S****horpe, seems to be turning things around at Sheffield United too.

Also when Adkins was sacked weren't we in a similar position to now (with improving form), at a similar point in the season having spent far less?

Not necessarily calling for him to return. But I don't think he was out of his depth in the prem, just never really got a chance. A bad patch at Reading doesn't change that for me.

I was at Norwich and their defence was poor. It was us rather than them that was the issue.

You don't need to be so defensive when people criticise Saints. Its not because they don't support the club, its just because they are concerned.

Its worse to pretend its not down to us that we have won 1 in 9. It is.

No pretending anything at all just sick to the back teeth and beyond of the ott slagging of everything saints...its all a

bit school boy stuff...

Long standing supporters have seen bad form, low confidence, poor results etc but that`s football

Some of the vitriol directed at some players, the manager and others at club is pathetic...

I defend my club because i always believe it will get better and it will imo...To me support is through thick and thin, Critisise by all means

but some of the crap written is a joke

Btw... The board should acknowledge they've recruited crap and properly back Koeman. If that doesn't work then go another route but he really wasn't backed properly in the summer.

What utter ********? Most of the signings were Koeman's (or strictly Koemen's).

Thank **** for Romeu.

There's an interview with Schneiderlin who gives Adkins a lot of credit for the recent success of the team.

So we go 4-4-2 and score within 5 minutes

pray that in 10 minutes Ronald doesnt go back to 5-3-1, 3-5-1 or some other ridiculous tactical formation .... as he has a complete aversion to playing a 4-4-2 style that best suits the players we have

Here's a tip for how to feel better about the season. Just remember that 70% of the outcome of any game is CHANCE. Games are decided by 1 or 2 goals. These are scored from typically 6-12 decent chances. The bounce of the ball, the luck of the day is the prime determinant of who wins. From what I've seen we were pretty lucky against Arsenal... 2-1 might have been a fairer score. And really unlucky in several other games. In general we've played exciting football, moving forward well. It hasn't worked out for us, and confidence has become fragile, a fact not helped by supporters turning nasty. But listening to the Palace commentators, they're clear that Southampton are the better team. Hear that? We're the better team. We may well win. We probably will. Because ON BALANCE we're playing better Or we may get unlucky. And if that happens turning ugly on Koeman and the players really isn't that rational a response. Over multiple games, I'm pretty sure we'll do just fine and end up probably top half of table. ... somewhere a little better than our wages bill would justify. If so... that's good management. Not perfect. But not bad.

Absolute bull****.

It really isn't. I'm talking about any game between premier league teams, prob excluding the top 4. Mathematically you can exactly model a typical season that way, assuming 70% chance. Humans look for patterns all the time... even when they're not there.
