Minsk Posted 6 January, 2016 Share Posted 6 January, 2016 Great to see Fraser starts, seems a strong squad to take on Chelsea. That must be a downright lie! Our resident experts told us that no way would he return to playing this season!! Oh, yeh, right then..... I agree, it's great to see him back playing again! VectisSaint Posted 6 January, 2016 Share Posted 6 January, 2016 Stephens in the team, so he's not going back out on loan. Gallagher not in the team, means the option is there for further loan. Good to see Fraser back, if he comes through will presumably be in contention for our 3 upcoming home games.

beatlesaint Posted 6 January, 2016 Share Posted 6 January, 2016 Forster will be back in the 1st team, as soon as he is fit enough to last a whole game Thats pretty obvious but what qualifies as fit enough to last a whole game for a keeper ? You mean sharp enough do you ?

VectisSaint Posted 6 January, 2016 Share Posted 6 January, 2016 FT: Saints 1 Chelsea 0 Reed had a good game, as did Forster as did Stephens, Gape, Little and Sims. Seager took his goal well. Baird of the land Posted 6 January, 2016 Share Posted 6 January, 2016 as did Stephens, Gape, Little and Sims. Seager took his goal well. Good win, slightly fortunate that Chelsea kids can't shoot. Saint86 Posted 6 January, 2016 Share Posted 6 January, 2016 Seager is quality, Reed and Sims disappointing, but Sims is still young so will not hold that against him. Stephens looked strong at the back. Hesketh never really impresses that much for me.
JRM Posted 6 January, 2016 Share Posted 6 January, 2016 I like the look of Stephens, he played well tonight and you could tell he had that bit more experience, i saw him play for Swindon last season and he was one of their best players, hopefully he is ready to push on and can start featuring for us, especially as he is now capped at England u21 level. Reed puts in a good shift, he does leave his foot in a bit but i like his approach to the game, Seager as well has been doing the business for a while. I think they mentioned we have Huddersfield in the last 16 of the cup, good chance to get through in our attempt to retain the trophy. Forster looked good - couple more weeks and he'll be ready for the first team i reckon.

Stephens looked strong at the back. Hesketh never really impresses that much for me. Sims was excellent, especially his defensive work helping out the left back. Didn't get too much going forward, but then we were mostly playing on the break in the 2nd half, soaking up a lot of pressure from Chelsea. Pilchards Posted 7 January, 2016 Share Posted 7 January, 2016 Seager needs a chance at some point. Some guys are born to score and it does not matter what age you are. IMHO I would rather have him on the bench than Raminez, Jumani and JWP as they can't score full stop.
