Great to see Fraser starts, seems a strong squad to take on Chelsea.

That must be a downright lie! Our resident experts told us that no way would he return to playing this season!!

Oh, yeh, right then..... I agree, it's great to see him back playing again!

Stephens in the team, so he's not going back out on loan. Gallagher not in the team, means the option is there for further loan.

Good to see Fraser back, if he comes through will presumably be in contention for our 3 upcoming home games.

Forster will be back in the 1st team, as soon as he is fit enough to last a whole game

Thats pretty obvious but what qualifies as fit enough to last a whole game for a keeper ?

You mean sharp enough do you ?

yeah. Sharp enough not to make a howler.

Maybe the WBA game?

or the home game after that?

None of those Chelsea players are going to be pushing for their first team any time soon.

Right now on Bluesweb, a poster called Superman is moaning about how they have no youngsters coming through anymore.

FT: Saints 1 Chelsea 0

Reed had a good game, as did Forster

as did Stephens, Gape, Little and Sims. Seager took his goal well. Good win, slightly fortunate that Chelsea kids can't shoot.

Nice to see them get back to winning ways and great to news at fraser's return. Where did Stephens play tonight?

Seager is quality, Reed and Sims disappointing, but Sims is still young so will not hold that against him. Stephens looked strong at the back. Hesketh never really impresses that much for me.

I like the look of Stephens, he played well tonight and you could tell he had that bit more experience, i saw him play for Swindon last season and he was one of their best players, hopefully he is ready to push on and can start featuring for us, especially as he is now capped at England u21 level.

Reed puts in a good shift, he does leave his foot in a bit but i like his approach to the game, Seager as well has been doing the business for a while.

I think they mentioned we have Huddersfield in the last 16 of the cup, good chance to get through in our attempt to retain the trophy.

Forster looked good - couple more weeks and he'll be ready for the first team i reckon.

Sims was excellent, especially his defensive work helping out the left back. Didn't get too much going forward, but then we were mostly playing on the break in the 2nd half, soaking up a lot of pressure from Chelsea.

Reed disappointing? You watched a different game to the one I watched.

Alfie Jones was also class on his u21 debut, only 18 but showed he can step up. Looks a bright prospect for the future.

Well said. From what I saw, he was decent. Reed and Romeu in the middle please RoKo.

What kind of player is he? Position, skills etc

Central defender confident on ball reads danger well. Made great goal line clearance. Can bring it out if defence as well as put foot through it when needed to

Seager needs a chance at some point.

Some guys are born to score and it does not matter what age you are.

IMHO I would rather have him on the bench than Raminez, Jumani and JWP as they can't score full stop.
