steve55 Posted 3 January, 2016 Share Posted 3 January, 2016 Hey All, Rasiak is certainly a quality player on various versions of Championship Manager. However, do you think he was overrated? I'm not sure we saw the best of him as Southampton fans though, what do you think? Well, here's an article I found online that mentions him as well as various other players that didn't live up to it in the real world, take a look! S-Clarke Posted 3 January, 2016 Share Posted 3 January, 2016 He was alright, he was pretty limited but he put the ball in the back of the net on regular occurrence. You'll have to ask Burley why he decided to drop him at the back end of that season. He was never a PL player though if we're honest, but more than good enough for us at that time and scored some important goals.

As I recall he was criticised by many because didn't move around a lot up front....(reminiscent of Pelle in that respect) ..... BUT he did net 20 goals one season ...which put him in an exclusive Saints club along with MLT and James Beattie (make of that what you will ). Rasiak didn't play above the 2nd tier for Saints, like Beattie and Le Tissier did. Nor did Rasiak score 20 league goals in a season for Southampton, the best he managed was 18 second tier goals in 2006/07.

(2) I think you'll find Raziak scored some cup goals, too.

SNSUN Posted 3 January, 2016 Share Posted 3 January, 2016 Football Manager 2007 is/was my second favourite incarnation of the series, after the very last CM in 2003 (in which you could win the Premier League with Saints without actually signing anyone, as Ormerod was one of the better strikers in the game.) FM2007 was the game where it was easy to get Saints promoted, the first XI being Davis (who because of a typo was signed for 8 million quid.), Ostlund, Claus, Killer, Bale (who became very sought after), Prutton, Belmadi, Pele, Skacel, Rasiak, BWP. (With tweaks of course. Though I used to send Marcelo Sarmiento back straight away). Rasiak in that game was fairly prolific but I could never get him scoring many in the Prem. Leon Best though becomes a decent player, as does Tim Sparv at lower league level. Sadly my computer died recently and I can't get the game working on my missus's laptop, so i'm resorting to playing More modern versions. I'd love to be able to play CM 2003- 2004 again though. O_RLY Posted 4 January, 2016 Share Posted 4 January, 2016 Anyone remember how good Bojan was rated in the older FMs? Always went on to be the best striker in the world...
