sadoldgit Posted 2 January, 2016 Share Posted 2 January, 2016 I understand that managers often like to put a player on late in the game in order to slow the game down and waste some time, but what is the point of putting on a player with a couple of minutes on the clock if you are chasing the game? No matter what you think of Ramirez he is hardly likely to make an impact in five minutes. I am not one of the Koeman Out brigade but I wish Ron would give subs a proper chance to make a difference on the pitch.

Maybe he doesn't rate the players on his bench as much as he does the ones on the pitch, even if it isn't going their way? Quite clear our supposed strength in depth view isn't shared by our Manager. If we had more difference makers on the bench I think he'd turn to it more. The only player I ever think he actually makes an early sub for is Long to come on. Beyond that I don't think he really rates anyone on the bench. Edited 2 January, 2016 by Lallana's Left Peg
Give it to Ron Posted 2 January, 2016 Share Posted 2 January, 2016 Why not give Seagar a go we never have many in the box and he is that type of striker. Not as if JwP , Clasie or Davis would score Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The Cat Posted 2 January, 2016 Share Posted 2 January, 2016 People around us were shouting for Reed to come on as soon as that useless **** Wanyama decided he'd had enough of strolling around the centre circle and passing like a 9 year old. It was obvious we needed someone who could put themselves about in the midfield but it took at least 5 minutes for Reed to even be told to warm up. Whatever Mane did, we need to win and he's our most likely game changer so should have been brought on for Tadic after about 60 minutes because he wasn't in the game 2nd half.
