St Lej Posted 2 January, 2016 Share Posted 2 January, 2016 Someone said during the match as soon as Norwich get a shot, they will probably score. And there we have it. Our ratio to shots conceded to goals conceded must be ****ing abysmal. Happens so often that a team only needs about 2 shots on target per game MAX to score. badgerx16 Posted 2 January, 2016 Share Posted 2 January, 2016 http://www.whoscored.com/Regions/252/Tournaments/2/Seasons/5826/Stages/12496/TeamStatistics/England-Premier-League-2015-2016 This suggests we concede 12 shots per game, and we have conceded 24 goals in 20 games. In comparison, Liverpool have conceded the same number of goals, but from fewer shots per game. I'm more concerned about the fact we don't convert our chances - for instance Leicester have fewer shots per game, but have scores 11 more goals. gr00031 Posted 2 January, 2016 Share Posted 2 January, 2016 Just proves even more how vital it is to take your chances when you're on top in this league. You don't get many and to waste just on can be the difference between tpinning and losing, very disappointed... I've been hoping for a while the players themselves would see these type of results aren't acceptable and put it right, but they don't, and a few don't seem to care... concerned

VectisSaint Posted 2 January, 2016 Share Posted 2 January, 2016 The quicker Forster comes back the better. Why? Is he going to play up front? Our problem really is not the keeper, or even the defence. Teams can concede one goal and still get points if they have the where with all to actually score. OK, if we keep a clean sheet we can get a point without scoring, but to be in a position where all the opposition have to do is score one for them to win the game is ridiculous. We have reverted to type, "Southampton Nil" is fast becoming our tag these days.
