Channon's Sideburns Posted 5 January, 2009 Posted 5 January, 2009 Bristol Rovers CF - remember, the one who put us out last season..... Has scored 18 GOALS IN 26 GAMES!!!! Slightly better than McGoalDrought....
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 5 January, 2009 Posted 5 January, 2009 Unfortunately Bristol Rovers would want us to cross their palms with silver. And we ain't got none.
N/West Saint Posted 5 January, 2009 Posted 5 January, 2009 Swap him for mcGoal*****... They would need to be smashed on scrumpy to except a deal like that
Yate Saint Posted 5 January, 2009 Posted 5 January, 2009 Porbably will turn out to be rubbish at a higher level. Worth a go though, but sadly we cant afford him.
SFC1906 Posted 5 January, 2009 Posted 5 January, 2009 Might be able to soon as Dyer may be off. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11700_4748526,00.html
Channon's Sideburns Posted 5 January, 2009 Author Posted 5 January, 2009 Hmmmm let's think...with limited appearances??? SAM VOKES - Bournemouth to Wolves. Has impressed so far - would be streets ahead of McGoldrick - if someone only had their eyes open.
Um Bongo Posted 5 January, 2009 Posted 5 January, 2009 Given the fact he is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, i think not!
70's Mike Posted 5 January, 2009 Posted 5 January, 2009 Given the fact he is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, i think not! that makes him ideal for us because most of our signings are injured
del boy Posted 5 January, 2009 Posted 5 January, 2009 Might be able to soon as Dyer may be off. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11700_4748526,00.html Martinez said of Dyer "He ticks all the boxes as far as I am concerned" ...cant imagine a manager going round with a shopping list for players with a row of boxes stating "runs straight into defenders" "incapable of getting to the byeline" and "shoots directly into row z given the opportunity" - but thats how it must work
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 5 January, 2009 Posted 5 January, 2009 Erm.... a) He'd no doubt be overpriced and we have no money b) McGoldrick, as much as I think he's crap, did go on a very impressive scoring run in league 1. Championship is a different level. Who was the last striker to come up to the CCC from league 1 or 2 and do really well? I might be forgetting someone but it doesn't seem to be many. Iwelumo - Wolves (Colchester/Brighton etc) Paterson- Burnley (S****horpe) Eastwood - Coventry (Southend) Vokes - Wolves (Bourmouth) Howard - Sheff Utd (Barnsley/Swindon) Healy - Sunderland (Leeds/Preston/ Windass - Hull (Hull/Bradford) King - Hull - (Watford/Gillingham) Davies - Bolton (Southampon/Blackburn/Southampton/Chesterfield) Ormerod - ? (Saints/Blackpool/Accrington Stanley) Ian Wright ex Arsenal/Palace/no league/Hackney marshes)
