SFKA South Woodford Posted 20 December, 2015 Share Posted 20 December, 2015 Have to disagree there fella - thought Tadic was one of our best players today - got some lovely crosses in, just no one took advantage. Totally agree about VW though - it was disgraceful the way Dembele just brushed him aside at times, and VW fell over like a little girl (apologies to little girls). If Spurs still want to pay £20M for him in Jan then defo go for it, or a straight swap for Dembele. I think you must be confusing Tadic with Cedric there Red, Tadic did nothing of note all game except bottle a couple of challenges he would have won with a little commitment. He has no courage and no commitment, he needs replacing ASAP!
kermitsaint Posted 20 December, 2015 Share Posted 20 December, 2015 He will resign by next summer and who could blame him? A ****e board behind him. Lets hope he takes the rubbish players that he bought with him then . The board have failed yes but Koeman has as well . Seems utterly clueless most of the time . Strange substitutions and bizarre formations Sent from my SM-G925I using Tapatalk

Five of those were kind of integral in our 7th place finish last season.

He has no courage and no commitment, he needs replacing ASAP! When Tadic first arrived I thought we had a gem, who would easily compensate for Lallana's defection. As time has gone on I see a player with some great technical qualities; an eye for a pass and the ability to whip in a cross, but amongst that you get a reluctant defender, a player who doesn't track back to help out (a criticism often levelled at Lallana) and a player who often goes missing when the game gets tough. I think Tadic is one of the players Ron was commenting upon in his post-game presser - no urgency, intensity or killer instinct - and he is right. supersonic Posted 20 December, 2015 Share Posted 20 December, 2015 Yet again the critics of Pelle sharpen their knives.Where's the service? Where's his protection from the Ref? He laid off three sitters for Mane and Davis but never got into a position to score himself as our corners and crosses were up to the usual standard of abysmal.Wrestling and shirt pulling appear to be the norm.I wonder how many bruises he has tonight? I am a critic of Pelle, and rightfully so, he simply isn't prolific enough for us to rely on as an option. Now 6.5 games without a goal (he went 11 games at around this time of the year last season) and he doesn't look like scoring. I'm not buying the Wrestling and Shirt pulling excuse, as this happens in every game and has done for years, yet some players still find a way of scoring. We simply cannot rely on a striker who goes missing for large chunks of the season.
CB Fry Posted 20 December, 2015 Share Posted 20 December, 2015 He will resign by next summer and who could blame him? A ****e board behind him. £10m-plus players in every department including the bench, almost all signed on his watch, suggest they aren't that *****e and they are behind him. sadoldgit Posted 20 December, 2015 Share Posted 20 December, 2015 Watford away he was up front and was terrible. Last week he was poor again missed a sitter. He's only ever scored 7 goals of less. If u think he's the answer we are a joke. A bit harsh to say that chance was a sitter. The keeper saved it. It was hardly an open goal.

It's not so much the lack of goals that bothers me so much as the way attacks seem to be breaking down when Pelle gets involved in them. Compare his performance to Kane's yesterday. Both were isolated at times but when the ball came into Kane it stuck to him and he only offloaded it when he felt he could create a good chance (either for himself or one of his supporting midfielders). Failing that he'd keep possession for his team. Pelle treats the ball like a hot potato trying ambitious flicks too often. His touch, awareness and decision making weren't up to Kane's standard and that, coupled with our tendancy to try and hit him with a long aerial pass, has contributed to our blunt attack in recent weeks. On the team as a whole I would say that they do remind me a lot of a kids team I coached last year and in that respect I think there's room for hope. Some of their passing and moving has been really good but the important moments at either end have been going against them and that really hits confidence. Like RK I ended up getting frustrated and losing it with them (not my usual style). Next game they fluked a lucky victory, won the next one (just) and from there confidence just built and built and the change was astonishing. Went from bottom of the league to win it. A solid defence and confidence go a long. long way. Unlike a lot of people on here I think the team has some good players and a lot of potential. Whether a combination of RK and a bit of luck can turn our season around only time will tell.

I agree with this, Pelle's lack of ability and mentality to challenge for the ball in the air really limits us. I appreciate he won't win every header, but most of the time he doesn't even both challenging. We've essentially bought a 6"4 brick ****ehouse who is scared to head the ball. I'd have Lambert over him all day. He's not the only one who isn't performing to his ability, we need a striker who can score goals and we need one soon, otherwise we're f*cked.
