Going backwards

Where has our pressing game gone?

Under Poch we chased EVERY ball all over the park.

Don't see that now, we are sitting off the ball, very pedestrian, we are too predictable.

Come on, show some aggression, win that ball.

At the moment we are mediocre.

We are going bottom half, 14th 15th.

COYR be aggressive. Want that shirt. Show us.

You can't suddenly start playing that way. Ronald has a different way of playing and his training methods don't focus on the high levels of fitness that it needs. Its a great shame because many teams now do what we used to do and are reaping the rewards, while we have thrown away our very effective style.

Yet our first season without Poch we achieved a higher finish. Even with the exodus of players. All of a sudden now we want Pochs way of playing back? I didn't hear anyone complain last season.

Because to some extent last season we still did it, not as much but it was still a part of our game. This season all semblance of it has gone, and our fitness levels are way down on what they were.

This - we are still playing good football but the understanding between new players and current squad is taking longer to bed in this year.

Also we looked f*kt, burnt out for the last 6 weeks of the season under Poch...expect Spuds to suffer similarly only they have a bigger pool of quality players to rotate (thanks to the Bale money, fuggit) but hopefully the first signs will be on Saturday!!
