If I remember correctly we were all pretty ****ed with Dowie when he joined and started to warm to him along the lines of singing "Iian Dowie is a football genius" and then we signed Paul Moody to replace him on the back of. Shed load of goals for waterloovile. I remember him coming on for his debut at the dell thinking, well, it could work.....but, it did not!

Looking at the stats his record turned out not so bad.......

Mark Paul, what happened ?

Ali Dia, enough said?

Any other would be super stars from the tiro or non league that never ended up working....?

Branfoot (p!ss and horsesh!t be heaped upon him) always preferred Moody to MLT. In the famous match against Newcastle when Matty scored those two unforgettable goals he was just about to replace him with Moody when he scored the first goal. If you watch the recording you can see Branfoot give a wry smile and tell Moods to 'sit down'.

- to be fair Sarli has scored some goals.

- remember branfoots face well, I think that shot is what ended up on the front cover of the ugly inside when it got silly about hanging him or something.

It makes you wonder how Colin Clarke was so great

I can remember a young Paul Moody smashing it for Fareham Town back when I was at school, he was quality. When he signed for us I really had high hopes for him. I think Branfart did too, or at least "high hopes" were his idea of a pass from defence. Sadly he turned out to be a bit of a fish out of water for us.

Not hanging, not The Ugly and not silly.
