doddisalegend Posted 9 December, 2015 Posted 9 December, 2015 ...in these two players in Jan Arsenal duo Joel Campbell and Mathieu Debuchy could be offered to Newcastle in January, according to the Chronicle. http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/transfers/arsenal-duo-could-be-offered-to-newcastle-in-january/ar-AAgd23j?ocid=spartanntp
Saints foreva Posted 9 December, 2015 Posted 9 December, 2015 Would have Debuchy here if he wasn't so injury prone.
verlaine1979 Posted 9 December, 2015 Posted 9 December, 2015 Campbell has been great for Arsenal tonight.
Pancake Posted 9 December, 2015 Posted 9 December, 2015 Weren't we offered Campbell a season or so back, or was that just rumour?
austsaint Posted 9 December, 2015 Posted 9 December, 2015 I've been impressed with Joel Campbell - would be an upgrade on S. Long.
cobraBLACK Posted 10 December, 2015 Posted 10 December, 2015 Campbell has been pretty mediocre but his performance against Olympiacos stood out; especially his contribution to the second goal. It would be a surprise to see him leave after finally getting a chance to play for his club.
disconnect Posted 10 December, 2015 Posted 10 December, 2015 I would be pretty happy with him. Always looked good for Costa Rica, did well on loan last season (including quite a few high profile European matches), and has looked alright for Arsenal in the few appearances he's made. Debuchy would be good, but he's pretty injury prone these days (since his move to Arsenal, surprise surprise)!
The9 Posted 11 December, 2015 Posted 11 December, 2015 I'd take Joel Campbell I can't see him being available, but if his wages were decent he's exactly the kind of top 4 offcast we like, he's also young and has good experience, and relatively suited to our wide attacking position.

Exactly what I was thinking. Depends on whether he's had enough of sitting on the bench (or fighting for a starting position) with only 22 appearances over the passed two seasons (only 9 have been in the league) for Arsenal. He's 24 in the summer so I would have thought needs to have regular games.
