sydneysaint17 Posted 8 December, 2015 Share Posted 8 December, 2015 As you may recall, I recently posted a survey on here about customer experience at Southampton FC for part my university placement year. I’ve had some great feedback from both my university and also senior people at the business where I’m completing my internship on this research, and it is now ready to share on here (picture should be attached!). Welcome any feedback/discussion on the findings below. http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/rr187/sydneysaint17/One%20pager%20pic_zpsimwgycwo.png I am now interested in quantifying the factors that are most important to fans on a matchday and measuring how Southampton FC is performing against this from a fans perspective. If you find the research above interesting and would like to help me out further, I would really appreciate it if you could fill out one final survey. It takes no longer than 3 minutes and will hopefully provide a fascinating data set that I will be able to share on here soon. sydneysaint17 Posted 9 December, 2015 Author Share Posted 9 December, 2015 For a bit more discussion here. Amused to see the Millennials living up to their reputation. Thanks for posting - I couldn't get the attachment to work. Would be interested in people's thoughts on the segmentation - do you think that you fit into the suggested groups? I looked at segmenting by behaviour, however didn't have quite enough data to form robust segments (e.g. the father/son day tripper, the family man, lad loyalist etc.) Have had 15 responses so far on the new survey and already seeing some very interesting results. For those who havent seen, here's the link; https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/3jizxc

For those who havent seen, here's the link; https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/3jizxc You needed the [/img] tags around the URL instead of the ones. I'm pleased to see where middle-age starts more than anything, I absolutely relate to the issues there for the 25-54s but also significantly more likely than most to buy replica shirts. Re: programmes, I tend to only buy them at away games as a record of where I've been, but if they were £2 and weren't so massive that they're actually impossible to handle during a match (or they sold them on the way out, so there's no concern about ruining it during the match) I'd probably get one as a matter of course, or consider subscribing to get them sent to the house on a Friday. I'm pretty annoyed by the U-24s wanting something to improve the atmosphere, typical entitlement attitude that's become their stereotype - they should spend more time creating their own atmosphere! I don't think they have a frame of reference like older fans for a time when the match was the attraction and not the faffery around it. If I was you I'd be considering if the "local" location of older fans is self-selecting - do people who live further away stop going when they get older because they can't be bothered with the travelling any more, or is it that those who want to keep going move themselves nearer their social activities?
