Such is the age of analytics we live in. It is more amazing that it's only just taken hold in the last few years rather then earlier, surely working to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the players who are available is just simply common sense.

That's an execellent football article _ means a bit more to Saints fans, because of Pahars, but definately worth a read.

Good article. But not quite right to claim that Tore Andre Flo was unknown. His brother Jostein was already established, Souness spent months trying to sign him for Saints and he was reported as having signed for Everton in March 97.
