stthrobber Posted 5 January, 2009 Share Posted 5 January, 2009 But theres a thread that states that Jan has said no ones leaving? I would like to see Baird back though. According to the Daily Echo, he said that they "did not have to sell in January" which is very different from "no-one is leaving in January." Bless his cotton socks, didn't Leon Crouch say there would be no fire sales last Jan? So off went Rasiak to Bolton and Skacel to Hertha Berlin with Lee Hoos claiming the offer for Rasiak was too good to turn down for the club (even if it was only a loan deal) At this time, it ain't JP's decision, so I'll take it with a pinch of salt

LostBoys Posted 5 January, 2009 Share Posted 5 January, 2009 All I heard yesterday was that Drew Surman's partner is expecting and he did not want to move clubs at such an important time in their lives. His father has been quoted as saying he knows nothing about a move. Both of these 'rumours' are probably accurate but neither of the statements will stop Lowe from selling Surman if a big enough cash bid or cash plus loan swap deal was offered. Obviously Reading and Fulham would be favourites due to their close proximity. I suggest watch this space as anything can happen in this incompetently managed club. eelpie Posted 5 January, 2009 Share Posted 5 January, 2009 exactly,JP might be made aware of possible departures but not until the last minute,i can only see him having minimal say on who stays and who goes. ive got a feeling that the club dont see loaning out a player as actually leaving the club,in the same way as the government dont count people on jobseekers allowance as unemployed. Like the club doesn't see that a player has any right to have expectations of playing if he has not been signed by Lowe.
