Despite yesterday producing another poor result, I did manage to take a few positives! Obviously we should have been 3 up after ten mins so at least we went for it, but I was quietly impressed with Romeu (way more proacative than Victor) and Juanmi especially who finally showed a sprinkling of what he maybe capable of! Couple of nice touches and spins, early days yes, but not a bad option from bench! Still Love Steve Davis's attitude and still don't understand what JWP brings to team, but hey ho! Hopefully this is our bad period over

I thought he was making some nice runs and finding some good pockets of space when he came on but his team mates weren't really looking for him.

Whichever way you slice it, his set pieces led to two great scoring opportunities yesterday, one of which was converted. Not to mention Fonte's effort, and VVD's header near the end.

Anyway. Juanmi certainly appears to be a direct football player. Someone who can run with the ball at his feet, like Mane I guess.

We've barely seen Juami and I'm not sure why. The chance he had yesterday, which was well saved, suggests he's got something we need more of up front. And you don't get in the Spain team if you're a mug. Like to see him get more game time. Seen more on Romeu and liked him from the start. Again, I'm not sure why we haven't seen more of him.

The lad clearly has talent, remember the MK dons game? I get the feeling he might suffer from Tanadri Lee syndrome whereby he's so much better than the players around him they make him look sh*t because they aren't good enough to pick out his runs.

I don't remember the MK Dons game. What happened?

I know he's not overly popular with large amounts of our support, but I actually thought JWP had a decent enough game yesterday.
