saint lard Posted 6 December, 2015 Share Posted 6 December, 2015 Tomorrow,7pm BBC 2...... We are number 36 in the draw. Who would we like? I do not want away to number 48....Portsmouth,could see us lose it,ridiculous I know but I'm not confident . 49....Eastleigh V the Skates would be interesting. The season could quite easily become a bit of a nothing season so we really could do with a run in it. However if we start to slide in the league perhaps our focus should be elsewhere. Thankfully there are 3 sides worse than us....at the moment. Can we make it a hatrick of disappointing exits in the cup competitions this year.....Europe,League cup....FA cup? Dark Munster Posted 6 December, 2015 Share Posted 6 December, 2015 DFCSBs at home. Give them a huge rogering that will swamp the two 4-1s combined, along with their 1-1 wins in the Championship which "denied us promotion" and "saved them from relegation." After their double digit humiliation their knuckle-dragging fans manage to run on to the pitch, giving their cesspit of a club a fine greater than their match/TV receipts. They go home empty handed with their tails between their fins.

CB Fry Posted 6 December, 2015 Share Posted 6 December, 2015 I thought it was still Monday lunchtime in 2003, as I recall slipping off to my car at that time to hear one of the draws. It definitely was. It was "traditionally" on Monday lunchtimes until the advent of regular TV matches then it was moved to being tacked on to the end of the Sunday live match. Then for about three or four years the BBC moved it back to its traditional home of Monday lunchtime then they lost the coverage to ITV where it went back to after the Sunday match. The current idea I think works pretty well and I'll be listening as I make the tea tomorrow.

There will be a cup draw someday so let's get it on whilst they're in Div 4 , we're halfway up the league with players like Mane , Pelle , VVD , Vic & Tadic and more importantly have a manager that takes the cup seriously . There won't be a better time .

It was indeed Monday lunchtime in 2003 as I watched it on tv in the bar at work, they've moved it all over the place before and since when various different tv companies got the rights. ITV managing to balls the draw up two rounds in a row last year was a highlight. I want Saints to draw either the Skates, Eastleigh, Cardiff or maybe Newport, though I'm not sure I could quite handle that.

And if we don't get Pompey, then I want the lowest ranked at home Eastleigh are actually the lowest ranked team definitely through, though Salford and Whitehawk could yet make it too. Any of this lot at home should be comfortable. Would rather avoid Salford City or Hartlepool in case the BBC decide to show it and move it to a Friday night. 45 Bradford City 46 Newport County 47 Peterborough United 48 Portsmouth 49 Eastleigh 50 Northampton Town 51 Exeter City 52 Doncaster Rovers 53 Grimsby Town or Shrewsbury Town 54 Yeovil Town 55 Bury 56 Carlisle United 57 Leyton Orient or Scun thorpe United 58 Wycombe Wanderers 59 Colchester United 60 Chesterfield or Walsall 61 Sheffield United 62 Salford City or Hartlepool United 63 Dagenham & Redbridge or Whitehawk 64 Oxford United Bradford, Doncaster, Scun thorpe, Chesterfield (or Rotherham) away would be good for my assault on the 92 - assuming Newport don't get someone more interesting.
