Lets B Avenue Posted 22 November, 2015 Posted 22 November, 2015 Any chance someone could post the Pahars interview from the program please? Buy one, Tightar-se.

david in sweden Posted 23 November, 2015 Posted 23 November, 2015 Buy one, Tightar-se. Uh?....from Toronto?...be reasonable. I didn't get to see one in Sweden, either.
Lets B Avenue Posted 23 November, 2015 Posted 23 November, 2015 Uh?....from Toronto?...be reasonable. I didn't get to see one in Sweden, either. You can order them and they will be posted out, but knowing Mr Doggface personally, I felt within my rights to comment.
david in sweden Posted 24 November, 2015 Posted 24 November, 2015 You can order them and they will be posted out, but knowing Mr Doggface personally, I felt within my rights to comment. I didn't know that it was going to be included in that prog. ......would have been interesting to read....
Saint Garrett Posted 26 November, 2015 Posted 26 November, 2015 I forgot to buy one, would be keen to read that interview...would appreciate someone popping it up on here too

ericb Posted 30 November, 2018 Posted 30 November, 2018 It might be nostalgia, it might be blindness in my love of him as a player, but i'd take Marian as a manager for Saints right now. You know that he'd absolutely give his all, and you also know that he'd give the fanbase a positive jump straight away. Mind you it'd probably work better in the Championship, as he wouldn't come in with the pressure of keeping us up.

Yep him Doddsy and benali as assistant give us all a lift and kick the players up the ass
Bad Wolf Posted 30 November, 2018 Posted 30 November, 2018 Yep him Doddsy and benali as assistant give us all a lift and kick the players up the ass Dodd must be due another return surely? It's been a few years now.
beatlesaint Posted 30 November, 2018 Posted 30 November, 2018 I think if we get relegated Marian would be worth a punt.

Tend to agree, but for me he’d need someone who’s been there and done it along side him, probably would have to be one of his old managers.... Marian / Dave Jones or Gordon Strachan dream team?

Manuel Posted 30 November, 2018 Posted 30 November, 2018 I will be keeping a close eye on the progress of FK Jelgava.
Bad Wolf Posted 30 November, 2018 Posted 30 November, 2018 I will be keeping a close eye on the progress of FK Jelgava. Me too. Didn't know he'd had another job since leaving Latvia.
Manuel Posted 30 November, 2018 Posted 30 November, 2018 Me too. Didn't know he'd had another job since leaving Latvia. Just read that the capacity of their ground is 1,560, and they don't fill it!
VectisSaint Posted 30 November, 2018 Posted 30 November, 2018 Yet another thing to thank George Burley for. He really was probably the worst manager we ever had (I thought it was great when he was appointed), except possibly Branfoot of course. Can't see him ever getting the manager's gig, but maybe more like a DoF might be a good fit. Trouble is of course he might not get a visa after Brexit (bit like before he joined when Latvia weren't in the EU). Of course our "Board" wouldn't have the sense to go down such a route, Marian who?
Gemmel Posted 30 November, 2018 Posted 30 November, 2018 In forty years of supporting Saints, it's only happened a couple of times (Le Tiss last goal at the Dell vs Arsenal, the final whistle at the semi final of FA cup against Watford), but I'll be dammed if that same fly didn't end up in my eye, when Mr Pahars did the lap of honour around St Mary's on the last game of the season, saying goodbye and knowing that he would never play for us again.

LGTL Posted 30 November, 2018 Posted 30 November, 2018 His goal against those skate ****s was the stuff of dreams. Funny how they don’t remember that day, or about 10 before it.
Patrick Bateman Posted 30 November, 2018 Posted 30 November, 2018 Pure romanticism, but as there is barely any left in football, I think most people would forgive us for saying "yes, come and manage Saints with that passion"! Why not.
Lighthouse Posted 30 November, 2018 Posted 30 November, 2018 Sadly he hasn't managed at anywhere near the level to give him the experience to apply to Saints, as much as I'd love to see it. Perhaps he can be part of a new coaching team in some capacity or an assistant to someone else.
