Seems that Cardiff and Newport have a problem with the rebranding of the 'Football League' which will become the 'English Football League' !

One quote is : "It's a little bit insulting that both Welsh clubs will be classed as English," Tim Hartley said.

Personally I don't see why they can't just remain as Welsh clubs playing in the English league (which is the reality of the situation and has been for years) and can't see why umbrage should be taken, anyway at least they haven't cried racism so far :):)

Presumably they've not been asked to re-apply for membership ?

Perhaps Berwick Rangers should also challenge the Scots calling their league the Scottish League..

Until Bognor Regis and Walthamstowe Avenue FC are allowed to complete in the Welsh Leagues, Swansea and Cardiff shouldn't be allowed in the English leagues.

Maybe they are? TNS (The New Saints), the best team in Wales, are based in England.
