sydneysaint17 Posted 9 November, 2015 Posted 9 November, 2015 Very random question, but was wondering if anyone knew how many bars/food counters there are inside St Mary’s? Doing a bit of research for a uni project and can’t seem to find any information on this for Southampton or any other club that I try! If not, I would appreciate any best guesses…! Thanks.

Why do you want guesses? What use is that for a uni project? Email the club and ask them directly.

The9 Posted 9 November, 2015 Posted 9 November, 2015 The usual defensive "only I may know annoyingly detailed club information" response there.
Window Cleaner Posted 9 November, 2015 Posted 9 November, 2015 (edited) The usual defensive "only I may know annoyingly detailed club information" response there. Whereas in fact perceived availabilty is important. If many think that there are a lot of refreshment outlets in the stadium then they are more likely to try to avail themselves of said outlets. If the general idea is that there aren't enough then some will automatically desist, fearing long waits and surly vendors. Seen this type of study before. Usually gambling (or drug) related. I didn't say it wasn't, I was just pointing out that MLG doesn't half get narky when other people ask questions about club information.

Because he said that he had been looking for the information, not people's opinions on the information and couldn't find any.... can’t seem to find any information on this for Southampton or any other club that I try! He doesn't ask people to give their perception of how many there are, he asks if anyone actually knows the correct answer... was wondering if anyone knew how many bars/food counters there are inside St Mary’s? He also said "if not" then he would appreciate guesses, so clearly perception is not the main focus as he is using it as a back-up... If not, I would appreciate any best guesses…!

I need it for a model, so obviously if I can get the correct information then that would be great. If not, I can just add it to my list of assumptions, hence why any informed/reasonable guesses would be welcome.

Thanks. 7 Bar Units 7 'Diners' 2 'Hog Roasts' 3 Food and Drink Units 5 'Qjacker Units' Therefore, excluding the Qjacker units, it would be 19 bar/food counters. redkeith Posted 10 November, 2015 Posted 10 November, 2015 Under the Kingsland, there are 2 bars and two food kiosks, from memory, for about 8,000 fans. Contrast this with Bordeaux's new ground http://www.girondinsbilletterie.com/sites/default/files/upload/Plan-Stade-entree.jpg I don't think the plan shows them all, as I'm sure that the South End where I was had the same number of stalls as shown on the North End. They all sell lager, but it is non-alchoholic. Hope this helps.
The9 Posted 10 November, 2015 Posted 10 November, 2015 It's actually a relatively difficult thing to calculate, different outlets have different numbers of tills and access to different ranges of items, plus there is at least one mobile sales trolley / counter in the Northam too.
