Yorkshire Saint Posted 6 November, 2015 Posted 6 November, 2015 Not sure he gets out much ...surely not a patch on Barca with the greates respect Don't show him Salisbury cathedral for Christ sake he will be wanting to play at the Ray Mac ! Stick to football not tourism Orial !
Yorkshire Saint Posted 6 November, 2015 Author Posted 6 November, 2015 ...watching it again I'm wondering if it's a wind up! A boarded up pub and a church with a phone box. I him he is bored !
lloydie Posted 6 November, 2015 Posted 6 November, 2015 well, that paints him in a bit of a different light! never had him down as a culture or history fan.
Plastic Posted 6 November, 2015 Posted 6 November, 2015 I forgot how shîte Southampton was. Thanks for the reminder Orial!
WokingSaint Posted 6 November, 2015 Posted 6 November, 2015 Well done that man! I think all players, British or Foreign, should find out as much as they can about where they are now living and the surrounding area. How many of them I wonder, even locals, know much about the City, the New Forest or Hampshire in general?
JRM Posted 6 November, 2015 Posted 6 November, 2015 Well done that man! I think all players, British or Foreign, should find out as much as they can about where they are now living and the surrounding area. How many of them I wonder, even locals, know much about the City, the New Forest or Hampshire in general? exactly what i was thinking. Fair play to him, i think that is a quality thing for a player to do. He genuinely seems to enjoy living here as well which is great to see.
benjii Posted 6 November, 2015 Posted 6 November, 2015 Gardos is similar, I think. He likes travelling around and assimilating information. He's not a "Fifa, Nandos and perma-tanned slag" baller.
austsaint Posted 6 November, 2015 Posted 6 November, 2015 Like a lot of Saints' signings these days seems a genuinely good lad.
bazza50 Posted 7 November, 2015 Posted 7 November, 2015 Good lad, taking an interest... Exactly. Good for him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
STEVEADAMS Posted 7 November, 2015 Posted 7 November, 2015 Seems a decent lad, taking an interest in where he lives. Get on there send him a message.
niceandfriendly Posted 7 November, 2015 Posted 7 November, 2015 Actually enjoyed watching this, fair play to him. Fair play especially for looking genuinely impressed with what Southampton has to offer! That takes some serious doing.
sotonjoe Posted 7 November, 2015 Posted 7 November, 2015 Fair play to him. As others have said, this paints him as a much more impressive sort of character than your average perm league footballer. whats more concerning is ignorance and general disrespect for southampton's history displayed by some of the replies in this thread. Perhaps some people should follow Oriel's example and do a bit of research about their home town before dismissing things as just a church or, indeed, ****e. Wipedia is a start ... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holyrood_Church
DuncanRG Posted 7 November, 2015 Posted 7 November, 2015 I believe he lives in Winchester, so I'm a little surprised he's chosen Southampton for the history video...
Crab Lungs Posted 7 November, 2015 Posted 7 November, 2015 He didn't get booked at all during the entirety of that video. Well done, Oriol! tbf to him, fair play to making the vid and taking an interest... fkkin boring city though, Oriol!
