adrian lord Posted 2 November, 2015 Share Posted 2 November, 2015 The guy in that tweet probably got punched, knocked out, and hit the pavement with his head. The blow on the pavement can cause extra-dural bleed which may kill or cause brain damage due to the resultant increase in intra-cranial pressure - if is isn't relieved quickly by an operation that involves drilling a hole in the skull to let the collection of blood out. Usually the person who delivered the punch gets charged with manslaughter if they die, or even murder. But usually a resultant conviction is for manslaughter. pluto Posted 2 November, 2015 Share Posted 2 November, 2015 Spoke to some bournemouth fans and they blame the Police for not escorting them back to the train station. They said there was loads of police in brittania road and when they got around and came parallel with Saints fans all the trouble started. The guy sparked out was giving it the biggun and basically was punched and fell over hitting his head on the tarmac.

Weymouthsaint Posted 2 November, 2015 Share Posted 2 November, 2015 I lived in Bournemouth for three years, worked for the club for six months, worked in a pub in the centre of Bournemouth, so I feel qualified to say that they are an odd bunch of people down there. One in particular sticks in the memory. He was a freelance journalist that covered the club for some newspaper that's probably dead by now, and a big Weymouth fan. He said he always enjoyed Dorchester v Weymouth as he could give Dorchester fans 'a good kicking' and he enjoyed 'kneeing the b*stards in the face'. Dorchester v Weymouth, that ultimate nawty fixture. I also heard someone say they witnessed Steve Claridge being punched to the ground when he played for Weymouth. Ian Ridley? Saint86 Posted 2 November, 2015 Share Posted 2 November, 2015 Why do these w3nkers, from both sides, think it is acceptable in this day and age to go out getting smashed up and starting fights. Let alone putting someone in hospital... You wouldn't do it at home, at work or round someone else house... so why the hell do they think its okay to get smashed in a pub pre match and act like fecking cavemen, effecting innocent peoples lives, families and kids.... Makes you think we should offer their citizenship rights to a few of the poor people in the Calais jungle on a permanent basis ffs; they've had all these benefits in life, but they're still fecking morons. norwaysaint Posted 3 November, 2015 Share Posted 3 November, 2015 Remember everyone - No one likes a grass. I hope that comment is ironic and that everyone here understands it's nonsense. Luckily most "grasses" in history are rightly seen as very brave people who were strong enough to stand up to those trying to silence them. I hope nobody out there trying to summon up the courage to speak out against oppression, discrimination, harassment, corruption, abuse and bullying is ever put off by this often repeated and clearly utterly moronic and incorrect phrase. Everybody likes a grass, they are some of the heroes of history, but of course the word grass is the term used by bullies, abusers, corrupt people and those in a position where oppression is necessary for them to get away with something. But yeah, if you're a kid suffering from abuse, don't tell anyone because "nobody likes a grass". If you're a woman being sexually harassed and abused keep it schtum, eh? If you're being bullied to the point of suicide, don't be a snitch. It may have been a joke, but I ****ing hate that phrase, even when it's light hearted, because it does damage. Crazy Diamond Posted 3 November, 2015 Share Posted 3 November, 2015 If they beat us later this season. It will actually be like winning the cup. You won't stop hearing about it for a generation. Indeed - I'll always remember the Football League Show interviewed a bloke before the Bompey-Saints fixture at Dean Court in our League One promotion campaign. He said he was there the last time they had beaten us in the league - back in the 50s. I'm told that he was wrong anyway. Oh well, while I'm here... The start of the video sums it up. Gordon the Tramp, the kid with the afro, the grown man with his face painted (in the wrong colours), chanting 'dodgy keeper' at winger Lee Holmes, Sheila the superfan/demented old woman, Steve Fletcher (a man who they still want out there after the performances of Josh King recently), the bloke who had his face painted by his wife... Oh and by the way, ex-Skate and then-Bompey manager Lee Bradbury is a big Saints fan.

The9 Posted 5 November, 2015 Share Posted 5 November, 2015 Great English in the opening paragraph ' THE father who mistakenly claimed a Cherries fan snatched from his 12 year old son a top player’s shirt after it had been handed to the boy after a game against Saints last Sunday has withdrawn the accusation.' Crazy Diamond Posted 5 November, 2015 Share Posted 5 November, 2015 It's two commas away from being perfectly coherent, as opposed to rather convoluted.
