SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 OK - so the draw is happening soon but I can't see a thread about it! Does the draw wait for the Manure v M'bro game to finish or does it go ahead before that? What time is it taking place? Who would you like to see Saints facing? Personally I hope Middlesbrough will beat Man Utd and that we will get an away match against them - but that is for the purely selfish reason that it would only take me half an hour to get to Middlesbrough and I would love to see the game!
JxgrSaint Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Anyone in a lower division would be nice - easier route to the final is always worth hoping for!
CB Fry Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Sheffield Wednesday away. Because last year's trip to the steel city was such a success.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Sheffield Wednesday away. Because last year's trip to the steel city was such a success. For once one of your posts brought a slight wry smile to my face - still trying to forget that away match last December
Colinjb Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Sky keep saying that the draw is on shortly. Just get on with it!!
Mr X Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Sky keep saying that the draw is on shortly. Just get on with it!! theres extra time
Shroppie Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Sky keep saying that the draw is on shortly. Just get on with it!! Seconded. Think they'll drag it out until the end of the Manure game. Drives me mad listening to pointless drivel. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
Colinjb Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 theres extra time Who cares, the FA Cup doesn't wait for the replays.
CB Fry Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Who cares, the FA Cup doesn't wait for the replays. Are they really waiting for the match to end? FFS.
S-Clarke Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Utd will probably go through, but holy jesus, they look so ****. I hope they give all those fans a refund.
altoniansaints Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 HOME draw that's all, gotta expect good opposition in the QF so just want to be at St Marys
Chalkboy Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Rooney, Carrick, Young......penalty takers extraordinaire!
LGTL Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Annoying considering the teams left in. At least it's at home.
Viking Saint Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Balls. Still winnable at home. who have we got??
SNSUN Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Liverpool at home. Bugger, they'll have picked up by then. Still the home tie will help. Can't help but feel the cup is Citys if they want it. Decent draw for Stoke too.
Guan 2.0 Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Who have we drawn???!!!!! Liverpool. Would rather have them at this stage.
Viking Saint Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Liverpool at home. Bugger, they'll have picked up by then. Still the home tie will help. Can't help but feel the cup is Citys if they want it. Decent draw for Stoke too. We'll have them....keep the faith!!
Chalkboy Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 The one team I didn't want. Like a f*ckin thorn in the arse. Still, they won't be pleased to get us either.
Toadhall Saint Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Nah, bang up for it, sold out crowd, very winnable. This
davefizzy14 Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 At least its a home draw, hopefully we can beat them. COYR
Saint Charlie Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Tough draw, but winnable. Certainly will need the strongest team, no rotation.
wild-saint Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Liverpool are bang average and at home with full side you have to fancy our chances of winning.
ant Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Not ideal, but steamroller the Klopp ****fest and we could be facing a kind run towards the Final. Tonight could've be all-in - the Quarter Final now has to be.
The Cat Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Could have been an easier draw but we certainly have to fancy our chances against them.
Roger Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Is it done so we know our potential semi opponents or is it random?
nta786 Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Rather have liverpool now than a two-legged semifinal. Winnable game at home. To win any cup you need to beat the best (and a hint of luck lol)
Pilchards Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Liverpool will have some tough European games while we can rest on towards this game. Win it and we have a 1 in 3 chance of reaching Wembley as we need to avoid Manchester City for the semi draw
Harry_SFC Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 I'd rather we rested players against Man City on the 28th. Hopefully we go all out for this cup now.
Roger Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Don't even see the need. We aren't in europe, season won't be as long as for some and we have a pretty big squad with competition in plenty of areas. Bringing in Davis or Clasie or Romeu, Rodriguez etc isn't really resting players just different tactics. Can't include j rod he's not anywhere near the player he was.
Batman Posted 28 October, 2015 Posted 28 October, 2015 Tough draw. I fully expect Liverpool to pick up. But we are at home and have a real chance Surely this game will be live on telly on the weds night?!
Sour Mash Posted 29 October, 2015 Posted 29 October, 2015 Liverpool have Bordeaux on the Thursday and Swansea on the Sunday before, both at home unfortunately.
