Where do you think we will finish?

I think league will pan out like this.

City

Arsenal

Utd

Spurs(massively improved) annoying

Chelsea

Liverpool

Saints/West Ham.

I think prob 8th as any injuries to goalie, Cedric, fonte or van diyk, Bertrand, Vic, mane or pelle would severely weaken us and it will happen unless we invest in Jan which we don't really do.be happy with 8th and cup run. Would be amazing tbh after losing Morgan, clyne and Toby.

The next five league games are a chance to build some real momentum and, along with the cup game, will go a long way to determining if this is going to be an exciting season or a boring one! Excepting City, we should be looking for 10-12 points from those.

8-10th

Arsenal

City

United

Spurs

Liverpool

Chelsea

West Ham

Leicester

Saints

Palace

Stoke

I think bournemouth are as good as relegated. They will have an upturn in form but it wont be enough

Norwich will join them. Watford will stay up IMO

beat villa in the league cup and get a good draw after, who knows

We have not clicked as a team yet so I'm hoping we can improve on last year.

My fears are come January Mane and Wanyama will do another paddy which will upset the morale of the club.

Pilchards mane been fab. You're comments are bizarre tonight.

The club won't sell in January, they'll have told Wanyama and Mane to wait till the summer.

We will, of course, go on a great run in the latter part of the season and finish 4th having cruised the Capital One cup and pulled off a shock in the FA cup final against Chelsea.

On current form pulling a shock against Chelsea is losing to them.

Top 10 I guess but not as good as last season. I think we are looking pretty decent right now but other teams around us seem to have improved West ham look good, Palace are still a good outfit despite having a bit of loss of form right now, Spurs seem to have improved this season (and will probably nick 4th over Chelsea) and Leicester will fade second half of the season, I think, but like us last season will have built up enough points early to stay in around the top half all season.

I think we'll finish the season stronger than we started it, I don't know why, I just have a feeling.

Jrod will be fitter and hopefully back to his best by the turn of the year and other players such as Clasie and Juanmi will start showing their qualities (RK) then too. Overall, I'm thinking our squad depth will make the difference when it comes to the second half of the season, and momentum is everything.

Moving up from 10th to 6/7th.

That is such a pointless table. I can categorically say that WHU will not get 80 points, and Chelsea will get a hell of a lot more than 40 points. I will pay £100 to a Charity if either one of those things happens. The thing with these stats is that they assume this is how the teams will perform all year, but it won't be like that.

Our relatively bad start compared to last season means we're not going to be hanging on to the top 4 coattails this season, and we'd need to go on a good run of wins to get ourselves into the top 6 discussion in the longer term. We're not as defensively strong as last season without Schneiderlin, but we look more likely to score. Unfortunately that won't get us as many points.

Can't see us being higher than 7th or lower than 11th, so I'll go for 8th too.

West Ham might stay above us, can't see Leicester doing so longer term, they need to create too many chances to score*. Then in the summer we can play the "why can't West Ham keep their players" game for a change.

*not checked the stats...

Ditto not including strength of opponents so far, etc.

Can we all vote to pick the charities or do you get to pick them?

The league table is irrelevant. 8-14th will do. We've seen before that being best of the rest only makes us more of a target for selling our best players. I think we are as good as last season. I think we will be 10th but I am far more concerned about winning a cup

8th-9th sounds about right. Don't forget about Everton though, people.

I tend to view it as such... (alphabetical order)

1st-4th = Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Man United

5th-7th = Everton, Liverpool, Tottenham.

8th-10th = Southampton, West Ham, +1 other (I.e whoever had a good season from below - this year, between Crystal Palace and Leicester)

Ultimately, top 10 should be our standard now.

P.S Note, I'm not suggesting teams will finish in that order, but rather how it might play out on paper/historically/based on how I perceived them/etc.
