Careful VS this is close to libellous - I don't think he smokes.;)

Only if he can prove he doesn't :yawinkle: There has to be some reason for his ridiculous decisions and tactics.

According to SSN Dean Windass is speaking to Hartlepool about a loan move. I know he's double our average age team of kids but i'm sure he could do a decent job for Saints. Might teach some of our strikers how to shoot, head and get into goal scoring positions.

I have followed Deano since his days at Hull, but its a long way to come for a four month loan and with the few chances we create would he really improve us?

I'd have brought him in as player-coach instead of Gorre alongside JP and to help the kids by holding the ball up and giving Holmes a target to aim at and he'd certainly liven the place up! You're right in thinking that he'll go to a northern club with his family committments though.

Since his days at Hull? That could mean from yesterday.

scott sinclair is a good shout

Thought so. Too late he has now signed for Birmingham on one month loan.

Saints too slow...Looked good when previously on loan at Plymouth.

Maybe we will get someone next Jan.

Delfonso - Villa youngster (striker) who played in the UEFA cup... would fit in with our young squad!

He's more of an attacking midfielder than a striker, certainly not a goalscorer. We need two centre halfs and a goalscorer if we are going to have any chance of staying up.

Good point. I mean of course his first spell at Hull.

Jermaine Easter-(Plymouth) was good at wycombe but just got back from injury.

Santa Cruz' brother-(Blackburn) if Roque goes to City.

Rob Jones-(Hibernian) being chased by colchester, big centre half who wins alot in the air. Had Samaras in his pocket a few weeks ago.

Young Liverpool defender, english forgotten his name but has played a few times for their first team in cups. Hobbs or something.

I think so too, but people forget the human aspect of football transfers. Windass has only really played for northern clubs hasn't he? Maybe he wouldn't want to move anywhere in the south.

He played for Oxford in the past. But like you say mostly Northern clubs. There must be other players like him available who could add some much needed experience and knowhow to our youngsters.

maybe the management feel we have a bunch that can get us out of this mess - I've got news for them, it's the same bunch that got us in this mess!!!

It does worry me that teams around us are appointing new managers/pulling away/getting players in on loans and what are we doing................sweet FA!!!

It's almost like they have accepted relegation already.

Do they have British (or EU) Passport's? Otherwise I doubt we get work permits.

I believe Robert does actually. Strong rumours were circulating over here approx. 2 months that he would be joining Norwich. Strong, tall centre-half who is excellent in the air, unlikely to cost much and is still young in keeping with the prevailing philosophy. Would be a good acquisition for Saints in my opinion but never going to happen due to limited exposure, tyranny of distance etc.

Great shout, a big ugly defender is just what we need tbh. (No Sarcasm)

Aw, can't we reconsider Fitz Hall, then? Just so our CB's could really be.....

Jan Saeijs Fitz Hall

I'll get my coat.

Scott Neville 18/19 Full Back for Perth Glory in Australia..(maybe John Sydenham will recommend to Saints)

This lad is a star of the future. His Father is Steve Neville ex Saints winger.

Blimey Ottery, had to look Steve Neville up. He was very much in my era when I attended every home and many away games (74-78) but really don't remember any of his 6 appearances. Still he was later manager of Clyst Rovers down in your neck of the woods.

Clyst Rovers Very close to home...... Steve Neville Ex Grecian who then went out to Oz. His son is recently playing senior football, so early days....But at Full back, with the same ability of wing play of his Father, then maybe signs there to possibly to achieve a higher level. I am sure sydenham is down in that part of the world and he would pick up on this.

You never know.

As posted on other thread.

Scott made his debut just this weekend aginst the Tards ( Melb) and was my MOM.

Cool as a cucumber and after a season of watching headless chickens try and defend ( Sound familar ?) it was a breath of fresh air to see someone with excellent positional ability. Is easily on a par with the best of our youngsters.

Only having seen the one senior match to comment on but played as if he had played in the league for years. A defeniate potential. The Australian league also has the more physical side of things , so may adapt a bit easier.

I'm looking forward to watching him play more often. Oh - he played RB by the way.

Cheers as well - Didn't relise the connections.

Saw on SSN last night, that Leandre Griffit has been released by Crystal Palace after a six month spell at the club.

He never really had many opportunities here before, but I remember a lovely finish from him in the Prem when coming off the bench against Chelsea.

Given our current situation, I wonder if he may be worth another look?
