SO16_Saint Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 @Peston: ITV News calls Remain victory by 52% to 48%. It's done. Think he's tired!!
Shance Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 4k win for leave in Birmingham. That's it. We are independent!
scotty Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 F*cking hell!! I didn't see that coming. Looks done and dusted now.
Guan 2.0 Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 But David Beckham was for remain! And he played with European players who would have still been allowed to play whichever way the referendum went! How could he be wrong?
SaintStinger Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 We have our country back! I'm very proud of everyone that voted leave.
Saint_clark Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 This soppy, patronising c*nt on the BBC right now. Jesus.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Come on bbc , let's get Ashdown , Clarke , Toynbee, Hestletine and others on . Lol at Keith Vav , still doesnt get it ,"The people have made a mistake " .
aintforever Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Wow! Didn't see that coming. Big big day and a big big victory for democracy. A big big **** you to big business, politicians and Unelected Europeans taking our money and deciding what to do with it.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 IF we do vote Remain, I shall be laughing especially hard at the Far Right groups whose hateful rhetoric may well have directly caused a sympathy swing for Jo Cox. It's us laughing hard .
Batman Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Come on bbc , let's get Ashdown , Clarke , Toynbee, Hestletine and others on . Lol at Keith Vav , still doesnt get it ,"The people have made a mistake " . probably hear loads of snidey comments from that lot. With Izzard, Geldof and such like
Saint_clark Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Scotland will have to break away now surely. Imagine how emphatic it would have been for leave if they hadn't been included.
whelk Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 It's us laughing hard . Sure you still will be when the economy tanks
Lord Duckhunter Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 We owe a debt of thanks to Nigel , without his dedication we wouldn't have had this vote . Pleased for Daniel H, Bill Cash and others that have worked hard for years and years for this
shurlock Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Nikkei down 8%. Going to be carnage when the FTSE opens.
Guan 2.0 Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Invest in sterling when it bottoms, won't stay low forever!
Shance Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Invest in sterling when it bottoms, won't stay low forever! Yep!
whelk Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Invest in sterling when it bottoms, won't stay low forever! Yeah easy to know what that point will be.
whelk Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Nikkei down 8%. Going to be carnage when the FTSE opens. Could it be if?
Batman Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Yeah easy to know what that point will be. probably decades. Wont be long before we are all eating off the floor and busking for baccy.
Jimmy_D Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Fair to say there's a lot of people waking up right now to a lot more paperwork than they expected. Interesting reaction from a Canadian MP already.
Saint_clark Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Could it be if? Nope, the country is going to shut down and sit here until everyone starves to death.
scotty Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Nikkei down 8%. Going to be carnage when the FTSE opens. Remember when major finally decided to get out of the erm? That was supposed to be economic suicide. Actually it was the moment that the uk economy started to recover. And remember the scare stories about the unbelievably dire consequences if we didn't adopt the euro? We managed to survive that, but the greeks and spanish aren't in great shape are they.
Batman Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 From being classed as a racist, a joke and an insignificant along with his party, Farage has done it and he is not even an MP.....yet
Saint-Armstrong Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 @BNOnews: BREAKING: Dutch Party for Freedom leader Geert Wilders calls for Dutch EU referendum after Brexit
Batman Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 @BNOnews: BREAKING: Dutch Party for Freedom leader Geert Wilders calls for Dutch EU referendum after Brexit this is probably the most significant result of Brexit. will give plenty hope around Europe. also, See the Mirror hedged their bets https://twitter.com/DailyMirror/status/746092636390432769/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
Jimmy_D Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 From being classed as a racist, a joke and an insignificant along with his party, Farage has done it and he is not even an MP.....yet I couldn't name a single policy Farage has, apart from leaving the EU. I'm not sure he even has any? Considering he's got that now, I'm not sure what he'll use to get any votes any more.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Sturgeon: Scotland sees the country's future inside the EU

Considering he's got that now, I'm not sure what he'll use to get any votes any more. UKIP have even more sway now, to hold the government to account in any exit negotiations etc. His party have all but brought us this referendum, they have a little while to go yet

Excessive government and consumer debt; a tottering China, excess capacity and deflation; weak productivity growth and a lack of investment; and rapidly ageing demographics are just some of the headwinds. This is an unnecessary and damaging shock and is the last thing that the UK and the global economy need at this moment in time. Edited 24 June, 2016 by shurlock
Lord Duckhunter Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 God these leavers are bad losers. They also don't understand the difference between a referendum and an election . They also seem to think we're too thick to make our mind up on EU matters , all this its a proxy ect ect . Love watching Lucas & Thornbury nearly crying , but as Dimble said when they started making pathetic excuses " the people just don't want to be in the EU'

The global economy was slowing when blair tried to drag us into the eurozone so he could sit at the big table. I'm quite glad that brown managed to keep us out of it.

Batman Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 that is it. BREXIT is over the line never thought this was possible at 10pm last night amazing stuff
CB Fry Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 At least CB Fry called it, not like you soppy Brexit sods too scared to. Personally gutted but will be a fascinating period in our history so let's get on with it.

Only a matter of time before Farage is in the Commons, surely?
CB Fry Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Somewhere in large house in Berlin.... Angela. Angela. Wake up. There's some people banging on the door.
scotty Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 The global economy was nowhere near as fragile as it is today. We could argue this all day, but we aren't a big enough economy to overwhelm the global economy. Black Wednesday was a turning point for the uk, we coped then and we'll cope now.
Special K Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 I guess we are about to enter one of the most turbulent periods of our history. Scotland will leave the union, eventually, and we will be entirely dependent upon politicians and civil servants negotiating our future from a weakened position, which doesn't fill me with hope when considering their track record.
sadoldgit Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 From being classed as a racist, a joke and an insignificant along with his party, Farage has done it and he is not even an MP.....yet Perhaps we should make him King? What a very sad day for this country.

whelk Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 I think there's going to have to be a general election, do you think so. Please not before Corbyn has gone.
