sandwichsaint Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Remain hammered in Basildon, not altogether surprising but the margins are ridiculous.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 A lot of flooding in London today. Terrible weather. Best tweet of the night so far " Remain need a 150% turnout in London to win. Only Tower Hamlets can save them "
hutch Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Well that's a bit of a shock. After carefully studying the results so far, it's clear that ITV's coverage is way ahead of BBC and Sky. Certainly didn't expect that.
buctootim Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Best tweet of the night so far " Remain need a 150% turnout in London to win. Only Tower Hamlets can save them " Still very volatile. 170,000 difference three results ago, now only 40,000.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Glasgow votes to remain with 168,355 voting to remain with 84,474 voting to leave.
Shance Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 That puts remain in the lead but Glasgow was supposed to be a big remain area anyway so there'll be disappointed with the pathetic turnout.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Remain doing better than expected in London. WANDSWORTH LEAVE: 39,421 REMAIN: 118,463 LAMBETH LEAVE: 30,040 REMAIN: 111,584
TwoPints Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Blimey. This is going to the wire Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk
Jimmy_D Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Unlikely I know, but there's absolutely no provision for what should happen in the event of an absolute tie.
Shance Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Bloody hell, leave could win this!! 50.9 leave atm!!
hypochondriac Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 I was going to bed but I'm not sure I can now...
Batman Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 What is the crack then. Seen the current score. Went to bed with the chap from yougov cautiously saying remain will win. Still the case?
Jimmy_D Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 What is the crack then. Seen the current score. Went to bed with the chap from yougov cautiously saying remain will win. Still the case? Leave is the favourite with the bookies now, but still too early to begin calling it.
Batman Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 ITV say 80% chance of a leave win and almost we Campbell already wanting another vote
hutch Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 What is the crack then. Seen the current score. Went to bed with the chap from yougov Too much information there
Shance Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 ITV say 80% chance of a leave win and almost we Campbell already wanting another vote Leave are smashing it atm but there are still a lot of London and Birmingham boroughs to declare which will mostly be remain. As it stands i'll be surprised if remain win.
Batman Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 (edited) CB fry called it. Could well be spot on here Will this be the end of Cameron and Osborne? Edited 24 June, 2016 by Batman
Shance Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Yes. If out wins Cameron will be gone by the end of the week imo.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Sky News saying Cameron to resign on Friday and call a general election.
Guan 2.0 Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Sky News saying Cameron to resign on Friday and call a general election. Scorched Earth!
Batman Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Not that many years ago, UKIP was seen as a joke party etc. Looks like they could well have done it.
Shance Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 AP: Pound hits 31-year low. It will recover. It's just the markets reacting as they always do.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Birmingham has supposedly opted for leave by around 3,500 votes. And that, is the final nail.
L_O_Z Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Must sleep but feel like this is an important time in our history that I don't want to miss
Shance Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Birmingham has supposedly opted for leave by around 3,500 votes. And that, is the final nail. Wow. If Birmingham is leave then that's it. We're out of the European Union.
SO16_Saint Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 I woke up an hour ago and everything is telling me to go to sleep, but this is a historical night. Sleep can wait
Batman Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 (edited) I woke up an hour ago and everything is telling me to go to sleep, but this is a historical night. Sleep can wait same, nodded off about 1030pm and up about an hour ago. not missing this EDIT - Southampton votes to leave. Good stuff Edited 24 June, 2016 by Batman
Saint_clark Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Southampton leaves, well done lads. Weymouth and Portland (my area) voted to leave as well I'm happy to say.
shurlock Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 It will recover. It's just the markets reacting as they always do. And when will that be?
Saint-Armstrong Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 @Peston: ITV News calls Remain victory by 52% to 48%. It's done.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 24 June, 2016 Posted 24 June, 2016 Confirmed: Every single Scottish region has voted to remain.
