Which is the better feeling? Which was the bigger achievement.

I'll say this one. Considering what a fortress Stamford Bridge has been during Mourinho's time there AND the fact it was by two goals AND the fact it could have been more AND the fact that we went 1-0 down.

Winning at Old Trafford last season was great but I think this just about tops it.

Winning at Man Utd.

Chelsea were off form, Man Utd were stirring into life.

Not taking anything away from today, was magic, we were brilliant, but that win at Old Trafford....... satisfaction.

This. Tonight. Man Utd was a tactical victory, and although superb, tonight we beat the champions on home soil for the first time in decades. And played then off the park. One of the best performances I've ever seen from us.

Hard to say. Man Utd were playing better at the time but they also had strong points in that match and missed chances to win it themselves.

Today we absolutely battered Chelsea. Only one team in it from 10 mins onward.

Utd were awful and stuttering all season. Chelsea are champions and we destroyed them, it wasn't close in the second half, we could have scored 5 or 6. Above utd win and the sunderland win for me.

I'm clearly in the minority.... But I had no expectation against Utd, thought we could get something today.

That's the only reason. Loved, LOVED both.

We were better than Chelsea all over the pitch, won by a bigger margin, had more opportunities and were unlucky it wasn't more than 3.

Today, easily.

This, definitely this. Was more confident against manu, and this victory was more emphatic. The confidence this gives us could really help our season.

I hope as you came to your conclusion, you had a really satisfying splash.

I did and I wasn't even sitting on a toilet :)

I enjoyed both wins but this was more comprehensive, even if it was against a poorer team.

Fair question - when did we last beat the Champions away? Ever?

Maybe a win at Liverpool in 1981? They won the League in 1981-1982 and we won at Anfield in November 1981. To add a cherry to the icing on the cake, Liverpool were also European Champions having won the European Cup in May that year.

Wikipedia can be helpful.

And for those who don't remember Steve Moran's late winner ...

It is possible we may have achieved this since then but the above tells us it has happened at least once before yesterday evening's emphatic victory.

the United win was a masterpiece of organised defending and snatching a scoring opportunity when it came, but for an old fan who'd suffered decades of bad luck at OT....that was very satisfying.

In a frustrating first half yesterday, where the ref. denied / was cheated us out of two stone-cold penalty shouts, but the second half was some of the most controlled play I've seen in any game .. H or A ..in a long time. Forget the " ball possession stats " we were deadly on the break and Mane and Tadic tormented the aging Chelsea defence and John Terry's " dream return " was a nightmare that may signal the beginning of the end for him at Stamford Bridge.

An all-round top class performance where everyone put in his shift ...and a bit more. So far, I've read /noted 4 different MoM awards from 4 different journo's .... it might easily have been more.

I may not have answered correctly above, for although Liverpool went on to become Champions that season but they weren't the Champions at the time (that was Villa).

So let's try Leeds away back in March 1970. They won the league in the 1968 -1969 season and we won 3-1 at Elland Road in March 1970. That works ... I think.

I said in an earlier post I had a feeling we could steal this but not for one moment did I think we'd batter them.Manure last season was satisfying, stuffing Chelski is outstanding. The Saints Fans were magnificent all the way through the game.Anyone post yet who was actually there?

To go away to the reigning champions and to utterly destroy them as we did, despite being 1-0 down, is something special.

However, I despise the Mancs immensely and living and working in Northern Staffordshire means that I'm surrounded by the plastic tossers.

I was at OT last season and absolutely loved that win, but the manner in which we won y'day was such a pleasure to watch, especially after the way the game seemed to be going with the ref determined to help Chelsea out at every turn with soft bookings and pen claims for us turned down.

The team kept their cool and carried on and got their just reward.

I was there yesterday, lost my voice by the end, although came back Ok after a few post match beers

Yesterday was better for me because we battered them second half and all the Chelsea fans I spoke to after game full of praise for our performance, whereas as others have said Man U was smash and grab

I think it will come to pass that we will ask whether the win away at Chelsea was better then the win away at Old Trafford this season.

Comparing it to the away win at OT last season, I think that the Chelsea win was better, because we got off to a slower start to the season and the way that we dominated a Mourinho team at fortress Stamford Bridge has made a few sit up and take notice.
