CB Saint Posted 29 September, 2015 Share Posted 29 September, 2015 Osvaldo, you owe us. Get on the pitch and knacker Hazard and Fabregas for the weekend and you can call it quits.

Suhari Posted 29 September, 2015 Share Posted 29 September, 2015 How many managers have quit or been sacked after losing against us? Wonder if we'll get another scalp after the weekend?

Professor Posted 30 September, 2015 Share Posted 30 September, 2015 Osvaldo did come on as a sub but only the last 5 minutes so not even long enough to get a yellow card, but it does grate to see a player who caused our club a massive financial loss getting even a modicum of playing time in a Champions' League game. Dark Munster Posted 1 October, 2015 Share Posted 1 October, 2015 How many managers have quit or been sacked after losing against us? Wonder if we'll get another scalp after the weekend? JM won them the PL (at a canter) along with the League cup last season. Only a lunatic would sack him straight after that. It would be almost as nuts as sacking your manager the season after he'd won you the Champions' league and the FA Cup. No one would be that insane. Oh. SW5 SAINT Posted 30 December, 2015 Share Posted 30 December, 2015 Still don't get why we took such a huge gamble on him when we knew his history Yea indeed, I thought the black box was supposed to look at things like a players character as well, before a decision was made to sign a any particular player....... david in sweden Posted 30 December, 2015 Author Share Posted 30 December, 2015 Still don't get why we took such a huge gamble on him when we knew his history IMO ......the "we" was Nicola Cortese, who seemingly gave Pochettino the OK to buy one of his former players. Apparantly, Dani was a bit of a handful as a youngster, but MP thought he could rehabilitate him. Think it shows pretty poor judgement on both their parts. Must have been in the days before "The Black Box" was fully introduced, I really can't see Osvaldo turning up as a " player to buy " on that system.....or ? cobraBLACK Posted 1 January, 2016 Share Posted 1 January, 2016 Osvaldo scored about 1 in 2 in his time under him at Espanyol. Perhaps the optimism was justified.

A total fiasco. Either way it cost Saints the most..the fee plus how many years contract (?) that we had to pay off. Other clubs who 've employed him since have seen the light.
