Lighthouse Posted 27 September, 2015 Share Posted 27 September, 2015 Jonathan Pearce and the one who shouts all the time are infinitely worse than Motson (who admittedly fell off his perch as recently as the 2002 World Cup when he became obsessed with people having breakfast). I actually don't mind Pearce, although that may be something to do with the 8-0 last season. And Robot Wars
Lets B Avenue Posted 27 September, 2015 Share Posted 27 September, 2015 I didn't pay my TV licence fee ( Honest I have) to have to put up with Nick Illingsworth's "expert opinion". I had enough of that back in the 80's.
Professor Posted 28 September, 2015 Share Posted 28 September, 2015 Given there was indeed a great deal to pack in, it was all the more surprising they persisted with the usual padding such as "coming up next", "50 years of MotD" and "tomorrow on MotD2". There may be a contract limitation on the total time of highlights they are allowed to show. Can anyone confirm?
manzo Posted 28 September, 2015 Share Posted 28 September, 2015 There were also only two games this weekend that weren't on a Saturday, so they had more matches than usual to show on the Saturday.
The9 Posted 28 September, 2015 Share Posted 28 September, 2015 There may be a contract limitation on the total time of highlights they are allowed to show. Can anyone confirm? There's a limit on start time, end time and duration of actual match footage (hence all the blathering), though I don't know what they are.
