Batman Posted 26 September, 2015 Author Posted 26 September, 2015 1-1 dier kyle walker offside in the build up. should not have stood
farawaysaint Posted 26 September, 2015 Posted 26 September, 2015 2-1 to spurs Toby Oh ffs, I would put two city defenders in my fantasy team.
Batman Posted 26 September, 2015 Author Posted 26 September, 2015 3-1 kane with a tap in spurs looking very good 3rd goal of the game that should have been ruled out for offside again, the city defenders were along the painted line on the pitch throw in last week with Mata....
Wrensup Posted 26 September, 2015 Posted 26 September, 2015 The last two games I've us against Man U and the Spurs game now, I've seen 3 goals related to offside. Football is a joke
Wrensup Posted 26 September, 2015 Posted 26 September, 2015 I see N'jie has clinton on his shirt, anyone know the actual rules on names on shirts, its begining to annoy me with all this stupid first name/nick names business.
JakkoUK Posted 26 September, 2015 Posted 26 September, 2015 Spurs 4-1 up.. can't say from what I've seen that they deserve it in anyway. Got 3 lucky goals, whilst City were on top and therefore have totally demoralised City. Footballs strange..

Wrensup Posted 26 September, 2015 Posted 26 September, 2015 City as a team doesnt have the mental strength to change a game, if it isnt going their way they're fudged
Window Cleaner Posted 26 September, 2015 Posted 26 September, 2015 The last two games I've us against Man U and the Spurs game now, I've seen 3 goals related to offside. Football is a joke Can't be offside from a goal kick though if that's one of the incidents to which you're referring.
LainPain Posted 26 September, 2015 Posted 26 September, 2015 Going to be a weird season. Every team looks capable of messing up a lot of games. How the hell are that man Utd side top?! Not a good reflection on the league Tbf, they've generally been defensively superb. Certainly could see them winning the thing.
Ohio Saint Posted 26 September, 2015 Posted 26 September, 2015 I wanna see Newcastle beat Chelsea if only to see the True Geordie's video on that game. He is my hero!
Batman Posted 26 September, 2015 Author Posted 26 September, 2015 Far more competitive league this year.
Goatboy Posted 26 September, 2015 Posted 26 September, 2015 What number match day is it? I'm confused.
Chalkboy Posted 26 September, 2015 Posted 26 September, 2015 Mourinho to get the boot. Liverpool dump Brendan and bring in Mourinho
Ohio Saint Posted 26 September, 2015 Posted 26 September, 2015 Jesus....The commentaries for Chelsea are so much more complimentary than for ours. Mesmerizing runs, amazing skills......Pass the sick bucket please!!
Ohio Saint Posted 26 September, 2015 Posted 26 September, 2015 Tater: Ramirez!! Great skill!!!......On the replay......Doesn't look like he got a touch, did he?
whelk Posted 27 September, 2015 Posted 27 September, 2015 Bournemouth getting royally screwed by injuries. Losing Wilson will probably mean they won't stay up. If as bad an injury as first feared of course

If as bad an injury as first feared of course massively unlucky for them after their next game, they have some ugly fixtures.. watford at home, which is a good one. Then.... Man city spurs saints everton swansea chelsea united in their 9 games following

St Chalet Posted 27 September, 2015 Posted 27 September, 2015 The last two games I've us against Man U and the Spurs game now, I've seen 3 goals related to offside. Football is a joke Rugby teaching us a lesson with the TMO. These decisions matter, so why not take 30 seconds to check them. Adds to the drama as well.
Wrensup Posted 27 September, 2015 Posted 27 September, 2015 Can't be offside from a goal kick though if that's one of the incidents to which you're referring. Nah the Dier, Kane and Mata goals I was on about.
Whitey Grandad Posted 27 September, 2015 Posted 27 September, 2015 Rugby teaching us a lesson with the TMO. These decisions matter, so why not take 30 seconds to check them. Adds to the drama as well. Please no, no, and thrice no. I fell asleep during the rugby last night with all those stoppages. It's turning into American Football. Offside is not an exact science, we just need to live with it and get on with the game. It has survived well enough until the last decade or so until television took control.
S-Clarke Posted 27 September, 2015 Posted 27 September, 2015 Yeah, how unlucky can Bournemouth get? Mings, Gradel and Wilson with long term injuries. 3 starters in that side, and 2 'transfer record' signings as well. To have a chance, they needed their big signings and big goal scorer to hit the ground running. The fact that they will now have all unavailable for a lengthy period is kind of the writing on the wall. I can't see how they have any chance.
Lighthouse Posted 27 September, 2015 Posted 27 September, 2015 Please no, no, and thrice no. I fell asleep during the rugby last night with all those stoppages. It's turning into American Football. Offside is not an exact science, we just need to live with it and get on with the game. It has survived well enough until the last decade or so until television took control. Except those three goals were all blatantly offside and anyone can tell after watching a 20 second replay, before the game has actually kicked off again. I assume you are also opposed to substitutions?
Whitey Grandad Posted 27 September, 2015 Posted 27 September, 2015 Except those three goals were all blatantly offside and anyone can tell after watching a 20 second replay, before the game has actually kicked off again. I assume you are also opposed to substitutions? Not actually blatant, certainly not the first. Bringing back the game for a restart would ruin the ebb and flow, in my opinion. TV judgments have badly influenced cricket and have not improved the rugby. If you're going to have TV dominating the game then you need to rewrite the offside law because it is very difficult to judge by viewing on TV. Even Mata's 'offside' contribution to their goal was difficult to judge. The ball may have been touched on the way through by a United player. What we need are Assistant Referees to be a bit sharper. I'm not a great fan of substitutions when they are spread out and used as a means of disrupting the flow. I'm definitely against them being used in injury time.

I assume you are also opposed to substitutions? a few of the goals in the last week or so (including Mata at SMS), the lino had a nice straight white line to aid him (18 yard line) yet, still failed to see them

Batman Posted 27 September, 2015 Author Posted 27 September, 2015 only turned on for the 2nd half but Watford look pretty decent
Jack Posted 27 September, 2015 Posted 27 September, 2015 Nothing happened first half. Same as our game up there really, they play to not lose. Palace pen
Pamplemousse Posted 27 September, 2015 Posted 27 September, 2015 Interesting hearing the Palace fans singing WTFILN
stevegrant Posted 27 September, 2015 Posted 27 September, 2015 Interesting hearing the Palace fans singing WTFILN Pretty sure they sung it before us, when they relegated Charlton from the Championship, having been relegated at Charlton in 2005. In terms of the game, Watford will struggle to score goals for as long as they get so few players in the opposing penalty area. Troy Deeney played half of that game as a central midfielder, he needs to be much higher up the pitch.
The9 Posted 27 September, 2015 Posted 27 September, 2015 only turned on for the 2nd half but Watford look pretty decent Our point up there was a decent result given their form at this time of the season. Won't look so good by April though.
suewhistle Posted 28 September, 2015 Posted 28 September, 2015 I'm surprised you didn't mention Newport's away win!
Saint_John Posted 28 September, 2015 Posted 28 September, 2015 The last two games I've us against Man U and the Spurs game now, I've seen 3 goals related to offside. Football is a joke Same Linesmen :- us v Manure : S Beck & J Collin NLY v Man City : S Beck & J Collin. So the linesman who missed a clear offside by mata was not dropped from the PL list but allowed to make further mistakes the following week.

The ball may actually have been touched by Rooney on it's way through to him.
bpsaint Posted 28 September, 2015 Posted 28 September, 2015 Cracking game at The Hawthorns, Everton winning 3-2 after being 2-0 down. Had Lukaku in my dream team and he has had a blinder! Lambert has just missed a chance to equalise that you just know he'd have buried when he was here.
LGTL Posted 28 September, 2015 Posted 28 September, 2015 Saw a bloke needed both teams to score and Everton to win for £46k. Wonder what his heart rate is like?
Shance Posted 28 September, 2015 Posted 28 September, 2015 Saw a bloke needed both teams to score and Everton to win for £46k. Wonder what his heart rate is like? He's won the bet!! Can't believe it! He could've cashed out at 4k before this game! Everton just won me £75 so i'm happy.
