Considering our next 3 games are Utd, Swansea and Chelsea we need some points from them or will be firmly in the bottom third of the table. Given the dross we have played so far (Everton aside) its been a poor start when given a seemingly kind set of fixtures.

All the away games have been against sides who will be down there at the end of the season. 3 points from WBA/Watford/Newcastle isn't good enough. Still unbeaten away though.....

Bit pathetic really, common enough phrase used by the Prem League and UEFA for years now. Strictly speaking it is Matchweek rather than Matchday, because the games for each week are spread over 3 or 4 days nowadays.

The whole standard of the league, especially mid third is better and many teams have improved their first XI with genuine quality added. Any non top 6 regular who ends up in the top 10 will have had to play better than they would have last year IMO.
