It is a good point, it's never been made very clear as to how we do it. The only pre-req I can remember them stating is that the game has to be sold out first, which it is......but I can't find anything about selling the ticket back. Maybe it has to be done over the phone? Seems pretty odd though, how it was quite clearly part of the season ticket policy....yet we've never really been made aware of how we're supposed to utilize it.

The instructions were in the booklet that came with the season ticket:

1. Login to your account on the ticketing site

2. Click 'Return my seat' and select the game you can't attend.

3. Your seat will now become available and the club will notify you if it is sold.

I haven't tried those steps myself just copying what it said in the booklet, so don't shoot the messenger.

Definitely no option for that on the website, unless I'm totally blind, or it's hidden in a totally unusable place.

I can't find it anywhere either!

Response from customer services after their initial reply saying that the option to sell my seat was unavailable. I questioned why this was, given that only a few games are likely to sell out in a season and that this was one of the "benefits" of being a ST holder:

Due to the lack of time in between when we had declared the Manchester United fixture 'Sold Out' and when it's played, we weren't able to offer this option as we would have liked. I have forwarded on your feedback to one of my Supervisors and they can get in touch with you if you need any more detail.

Hopefully will get the option should I be away for the Watford home game....

what a load of tosh.

you dont even get the money, just a discount on a next ST purchase.

may as well sell it to a mate

Much easier, and what I always do.

If this game didn't sell out in time then there won't be many that do.

Picked my MK tickets yesterday and asked if today had sold out. Was told that there were still a few single seats left, so officially it wasn't.

There will often be a few singles lurking about so anyone waiting to sell their seat for a game through this method will find it tough.

Some way to go before we match Barcelona then. Dead easy system, can sell back online any match you cant make, ticket price gets split with the club but you get about 75% and the cash is in your bank account straight away.

The joy of having huge demand for most games.
